What stays on your device
Your chosen language and riwaya, reading position, bookmarks, tasbih count, audiobook position and assistant conversation are stored in your browser or app storage only. We cannot see them. Clearing the app data or the browser storage deletes them.
Location (prayer times and Qibla)
Prayer times and the Qibla direction are calculated on your device. If you allow location access, your coordinates are used locally and are also sent to OpenStreetMap (Nominatim) to find your city name, and to the Aladhan service for prayer-time data. If you type a city instead, only that city name is sent. Your location is not stored on our servers unless you turn on prayer notifications.
Prayer and adhkar notifications
If you enable notifications on the website, your notification address (push subscription), coordinates, city, time zone, language and which reminders you chose are stored on our Cloudflare database so the reminders can be sent. Turning notifications off deletes that record. In the Android app the reminders are scheduled on the phone itself and nothing is sent.
Microphone (recitation practice)
The microphone is used only while you are reciting in the تلاوة practice mode, and only after you press the microphone button. In device mode the recognition happens in your browser. In AI mode a short recording (up to about 40 seconds) is sent to our server and passed to Cloudflare Workers AI to be turned into text; it is not stored.
The Islamic assistant (AI chat)
Your questions are sent to our server and then to Google Gemini to produce the answer. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland the questions go to Cloudflare Workers AI instead. We do not store your conversation on our servers; it is kept only in your device. Do not send personal, medical or confidential details to the assistant — for a personal religious situation, ask a qualified scholar.
Masjid pages (community)
If you create or write in a masjid page, what you post — your chosen nickname, messages, photos and voice notes — is public to anyone with the link and is stored on our Cloudflare database. Do not post private information. Ask us and we will delete a message or a masjid page.
Content from other services
Quran text, translations, recitations, hadith, adhkar and audiobooks are loaded from their sources (alquran.cloud, quran.com, everyayah, cdn.islamic.network, mp3quran.net, hisnmuslim.com, IslamHouse.com, jsDelivr, archive.org) and fonts from Google Fonts. When your device loads a file, that service sees your IP address, as with any website.
Hosting and security
The site runs on Cloudflare Pages, which keeps short-lived technical logs (including IP addresses) for security and abuse prevention. We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking scripts of any kind.
Children
The app is for general use and asks for no personal details. The AI assistant is intended for adults; a child should use it with a parent.
Your choices
You can refuse or withdraw location permission, microphone permission and notifications at any time in your browser or phone settings, and clear everything by clearing the app or browser data.
