Juz 27

۞ قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ ﴿٣١﴾

Qaala famaa khatbukum ayyuhal mursaloon

31[Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers?"

قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّآ أُرْسِلْنَآ إِلَىٰ قَوْمٍۢ مُّجْرِمِينَ ﴿٣٢﴾

Qaalooo innaaa ursilnaaa ilaa qawmim mujrimeen

32They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals

لِنُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةًۭ مِّن طِينٍۢ ﴿٣٣﴾

Linursila 'alaihim hijaa ratam min teen

33To send down upon them stones of clay,

مُّسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ ﴿٣٤﴾

Musawwamatan 'inda rabbika lilmusrifeen

34Marked in the presence of your Lord for the transgressors."

فَأَخْرَجْنَا مَن كَانَ فِيهَا مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ﴿٣٥﴾

Fa akhrajnaa man kaana feehaa minal mu'mineen

35So We brought out whoever was in the cities of the believers.

فَمَا وَجَدْنَا فِيهَا غَيْرَ بَيْتٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ ﴿٣٦﴾

Famaa wajadnaa feehaa ghaira baitim minal muslimeen

36And We found not within them other than a [single] house of Muslims.

وَتَرَكْنَا فِيهَآ ءَايَةًۭ لِّلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَلِيمَ ﴿٣٧﴾

Wa taraknaa feehaaa aayatal lillazeena yakhaafoonal 'azaabal aleem

37And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment.

وَفِى مُوسَىٰٓ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَٰهُ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ بِسُلْطَٰنٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ ﴿٣٨﴾

Wa fee Moosaaa iz arsalnaahu ilaa Fir'wna bisultaa nim mubeen

38And in Moses [was a sign], when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority.

فَتَوَلَّىٰ بِرُكْنِهِۦ وَقَالَ سَٰحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌۭ ﴿٣٩﴾

Fatawalla biruknihee wa qaala saahirun aw majnoon

39But he turned away with his supporters and said," A magician or a madman."

فَأَخَذْنَٰهُ وَجُنُودَهُۥ فَنَبَذْنَٰهُمْ فِى ٱلْيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌۭ ﴿٤٠﴾

Fa akhaznaahu wa junoo dahoo fanabaznaahum fil yammi wa huwa muleem

40So We took him and his soldiers and cast them into the sea, and he was blameworthy.

وَفِى عَادٍ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلرِّيحَ ٱلْعَقِيمَ ﴿٤١﴾

Wa fee 'Aadin iz arsalnaa 'alaihimur reehal'aqeem

41And in 'Aad [was a sign], when We sent against them the barren wind.

مَا تَذَرُ مِن شَىْءٍ أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا جَعَلَتْهُ كَٱلرَّمِيمِ ﴿٤٢﴾

Maa tazaru min shai'in atat 'alaihi illaa ja'alat hu karrameem

42It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins.

وَفِى ثَمُودَ إِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَمَتَّعُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍۢ ﴿٤٣﴾

Wa fee Samooda iz qeela lahum tamatta''oo hattaa heen

43And in Thamud, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time."

فَعَتَوْا۟ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ ٱلصَّٰعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ ﴿٤٤﴾

Fa'ataw 'an amri Rabbihim fa akhazal humus saa'iqatu wa hum yanzuroon

44But they were insolent toward the command of their Lord, so the thunderbolt seized them while they were looking on.

فَمَا ٱسْتَطَٰعُوا۟ مِن قِيَامٍۢ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ مُنتَصِرِينَ ﴿٤٥﴾

Famas tataa'oo min qiyaaminw wa maa kaanoo muntasireen

45And they were unable to arise, nor could they defend themselves.

وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍۢ مِّن قَبْلُ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمًۭا فَٰسِقِينَ ﴿٤٦﴾

Wa qawma Noohim min qablu innahum kaano qawman faasiqeen

46And [We destroyed] the people of Noah before; indeed, they were a people defiantly disobedient.

وَٱلسَّمَآءَ بَنَيْنَٰهَا بِأَيْي۟دٍۢ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ ﴿٤٧﴾

Wassamaaa'a banainaa haa bi aydinw wa innaa lamoosi'oon

47And the heaven We constructed with strength, and indeed, We are [its] expander.

وَٱلْأَرْضَ فَرَشْنَٰهَا فَنِعْمَ ٱلْمَٰهِدُونَ ﴿٤٨﴾

Wal arda farashnaahaa fani'mal maahidoon

48And the earth We have spread out, and excellent is the preparer.

وَمِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ ﴿٤٩﴾

Wa min kulli shai'in khalaqnaa zawjaini la'allakum tazakkaroon

49And of all things We created two mates; perhaps you will remember.

فَفِرُّوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ ۖ إِنِّى لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ ﴿٥٠﴾

Fafirrooo ilal laahi innee lakum minhu nazeerum mubeen

50So flee to Allah. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner.

وَلَا تَجْعَلُوا۟ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ ۖ إِنِّى لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ ﴿٥١﴾

Wa laa taj'aloo ma'al laahi ilaahan aakhara innee lakum minhu nazeerum mubeen

51And do not make [as equal] with Allah another deity. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner.

كَذَٰلِكَ مَآ أَتَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا قَالُوا۟ سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ ﴿٥٢﴾

Kazaalika maaa atal lazeena min qablihim mir Rasoolin illaa qaaloo saahirun aw majnoon

52Similarly, there came not to those before them any messenger except that they said, "A magician or a madman."

أَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِهِۦ ۚ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌۭ طَاغُونَ ﴿٥٣﴾

Atawaasaw bih; bal hum qawmun taaghoon

53Did they suggest it to them? Rather, they [themselves] are a transgressing people.

فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَمَآ أَنتَ بِمَلُومٍۢ ﴿٥٤﴾

Fatawalla 'anhum famaaa anta bimaloom

54So leave them, [O Muhammad], for you are not to be blamed.

وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ تَنفَعُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ﴿٥٥﴾

Wa zakkir fa innaz zikraa tanfa'ul mu'mineen

55And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers.

وَمَا خَلَقْتُ ٱلْجِنَّ وَٱلْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ ﴿٥٦﴾

Wa maa khalaqtul jinna wal insa illaa liya'budoon

56And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.

مَآ أُرِيدُ مِنْهُم مِّن رِّزْقٍۢ وَمَآ أُرِيدُ أَن يُطْعِمُونِ ﴿٥٧﴾

Maaa ureedu minhum mir rizqinw wa maaa ureedu anyyut'imoon

57I do not want from them any provision, nor do I want them to feed Me.

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلرَّزَّاقُ ذُو ٱلْقُوَّةِ ٱلْمَتِينُ ﴿٥٨﴾

Innal laaha Huwar Razzaaqu Zul Quwwatil Mateen

58Indeed, it is Allah who is the [continual] Provider, the firm possessor of strength.

فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ ذَنُوبًۭا مِّثْلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصْحَٰبِهِمْ فَلَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونِ ﴿٥٩﴾

Fa inna lillazeena zalamoo zanoobam misla zanoobi ashaabihim falaa yasta'jiloon

59And indeed, for those who have wronged is a portion [of punishment] like the portion of their predecessors, so let them not impatiently urge Me.

فَوَيْلٌۭ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن يَوْمِهِمُ ٱلَّذِى يُوعَدُونَ ﴿٦٠﴾

Fawailul lillazeena kafaroo miny yawmihimul lazee yoo'adoon

60And woe to those who have disbelieved from their Day which they are promised.

وَٱلطُّورِ ﴿١﴾

Wat-Toor

1By the mount

وَكِتَٰبٍۢ مَّسْطُورٍۢ ﴿٢﴾

Wa kitaabim mastoor

2And [by] a Book inscribed

فِى رَقٍّۢ مَّنشُورٍۢ ﴿٣﴾

Fee raqqim manshoor

3In parchment spread open

وَٱلْبَيْتِ ٱلْمَعْمُورِ ﴿٤﴾

Wal baitil ma'moor

4And [by] the frequented House

وَٱلسَّقْفِ ٱلْمَرْفُوعِ ﴿٥﴾

Wassaqfil marfoo'

5And [by] the heaven raised high

وَٱلْبَحْرِ ٱلْمَسْجُورِ ﴿٦﴾

Wal bahril masjoor

6And [by] the sea filled [with fire],

إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ لَوَٰقِعٌۭ ﴿٧﴾

Inna 'azaaba Rabbika lawaaqi'

7Indeed, the punishment of your Lord will occur.

مَّا لَهُۥ مِن دَافِعٍۢ ﴿٨﴾

Maa lahoo min daafi'

8Of it there is no preventer.

يَوْمَ تَمُورُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ مَوْرًۭا ﴿٩﴾

Yawma tamoorus samaaa'u mawraa

9On the Day the heaven will sway with circular motion

وَتَسِيرُ ٱلْجِبَالُ سَيْرًۭا ﴿١٠﴾

Wa taseerul jibaalu sairaa

10And the mountains will pass on, departing -

فَوَيْلٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ﴿١١﴾

Fawailuny yawma 'izil lil mukaazzibeen

11Then woe, that Day, to the deniers,

ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ فِى خَوْضٍۢ يَلْعَبُونَ ﴿١٢﴾

Allazeena hum fee khawdiny yal'aboon

12Who are in [empty] discourse amusing themselves.

يَوْمَ يُدَعُّونَ إِلَىٰ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ دَعًّا ﴿١٣﴾

Yawma yuda'-'oona ilaa naari jahannama da'-'aa

13The Day they are thrust toward the fire of Hell with a [violent] thrust, [its angels will say],

هَٰذِهِ ٱلنَّارُ ٱلَّتِى كُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ ﴿١٤﴾

Haazihin naarul latee kuntum bihaa tukazziboon

14"This is the Fire which you used to deny.

أَفَسِحْرٌ هَٰذَآ أَمْ أَنتُمْ لَا تُبْصِرُونَ ﴿١٥﴾

Afasihrun haazaaaa am antum laa tubsiroon

15Then is this magic, or do you not see?

ٱصْلَوْهَا فَٱصْبِرُوٓا۟ أَوْ لَا تَصْبِرُوا۟ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ إِنَّمَا تُجْزَوْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ﴿١٦﴾

Islawhaa fasbirooo aw laa tasbiroo sawaaa'un 'alaikum innamaa tujzawna maa kuntum ta'maloon

16[Enter to] burn therein; then be patient or impatient - it is all the same for you. You are only being recompensed [for] what you used to do."

إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى جَنَّٰتٍۢ وَنَعِيمٍۢ ﴿١٧﴾

Innal muttaqeena fee jannaatinw wa na'eem

17Indeed, the righteous will be in gardens and pleasure,

فَٰكِهِينَ بِمَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ وَوَقَىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْجَحِيمِ ﴿١٨﴾

Faakiheena bimaaa aataahum rabbuhum wa waqaahum rabbuhum 'azaabal jaheem

18Enjoying what their Lord has given them, and their Lord protected them from the punishment of Hellfire.

كُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ هَنِيٓـًٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ﴿١٩﴾

Kuloo washraboo haneee 'am bimaa kuntum ta'maloon

19[They will be told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you used to do."

مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍۢ مَّصْفُوفَةٍۢ ۖ وَزَوَّجْنَٰهُم بِحُورٍ عِينٍۢ ﴿٢٠﴾

Muttaki'eena 'alaa sururim masfoofatinw wa zawwaj naahum bihoorin 'een

20They will be reclining on thrones lined up, and We will marry them to fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes.

وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَٱتَّبَعَتْهُمْ ذُرِّيَّتُهُم بِإِيمَٰنٍ أَلْحَقْنَا بِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَمَآ أَلَتْنَٰهُم مِّنْ عَمَلِهِم مِّن شَىْءٍۢ ۚ كُلُّ ٱمْرِئٍۭ بِمَا كَسَبَ رَهِينٌۭ ﴿٢١﴾

Wallazeena aamanoo wattaba'at hum zurriyyatuhum bieemaanin alhaqnaa bihim zurriyyatahum wa maaa alatnaahum min 'amalihim min shai'; kullum ri'im bimaa kasaba raheen

21And those who believed and whose descendants followed them in faith - We will join with them their descendants, and We will not deprive them of anything of their deeds. Every person, for what he earned, is retained.

وَأَمْدَدْنَٰهُم بِفَٰكِهَةٍۢ وَلَحْمٍۢ مِّمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ ﴿٢٢﴾

Wa amdadnaahum bifaa kihatinw wa lahmim mimmaa yashtahoon

22And We will provide them with fruit and meat from whatever they desire.

يَتَنَٰزَعُونَ فِيهَا كَأْسًۭا لَّا لَغْوٌۭ فِيهَا وَلَا تَأْثِيمٌۭ ﴿٢٣﴾

Yatanaaza'oona feehaa kaasal laa laghwun feehaa wa laa taaseem

23They will exchange with one another a cup [of wine] wherein [results] no ill speech or commission of sin.

۞ وَيَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ غِلْمَانٌۭ لَّهُمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ لُؤْلُؤٌۭ مَّكْنُونٌۭ ﴿٢٤﴾

Wa yatoofu 'alaihim ghilmaanul lahum ka annahum lu'lu'um maknoon

24There will circulate among them [servant] boys [especially] for them, as if they were pearls well-protected.

وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍۢ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ ﴿٢٥﴾

Wa aqbala ba'duhum 'alaa ba'diny yatasaaa'aloon

25And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other.

قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا كُنَّا قَبْلُ فِىٓ أَهْلِنَا مُشْفِقِينَ ﴿٢٦﴾

Qaalooo innaa kunnaa qablu feee ahlinaa mushfiqeen

26They will say, "Indeed, we were previously among our people fearful [of displeasing Allah].

فَمَنَّ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْنَا وَوَقَىٰنَا عَذَابَ ٱلسَّمُومِ ﴿٢٧﴾

Famannnal laahu 'alainaa wa waqaanaa 'azaabas samoom

27So Allah conferred favor upon us and protected us from the punishment of the Scorching Fire.

إِنَّا كُنَّا مِن قَبْلُ نَدْعُوهُ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْبَرُّ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ﴿٢٨﴾

Innaa kunnaa min qablu nad'oohu innahoo huwal barrur raheem

28Indeed, we used to supplicate Him before. Indeed, it is He who is the Beneficent, the Merciful."

فَذَكِّرْ فَمَآ أَنتَ بِنِعْمَتِ رَبِّكَ بِكَاهِنٍۢ وَلَا مَجْنُونٍ ﴿٢٩﴾

Fazakkir famaaa anta bini'mati rabbika bikaahininw wa laa majnoon

29So remind [O Muhammad], for you are not, by the favor of your Lord, a soothsayer or a madman.

أَمْ يَقُولُونَ شَاعِرٌۭ نَّتَرَبَّصُ بِهِۦ رَيْبَ ٱلْمَنُونِ ﴿٣٠﴾

Am yaqooloona shaa'irun natarabbasu bihee raibal manoon

30Or do they say [of you], "A poet for whom we await a misfortune of time?"

قُلْ تَرَبَّصُوا۟ فَإِنِّى مَعَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْمُتَرَبِّصِينَ ﴿٣١﴾

Qul tarabbasoo fa innee ma'akum minal mutarabbiseen

31Say, "Wait, for indeed I am, with you, among the waiters."

أَمْ تَأْمُرُهُمْ أَحْلَٰمُهُم بِهَٰذَآ ۚ أَمْ هُمْ قَوْمٌۭ طَاغُونَ ﴿٣٢﴾

Am taamuruhum ahlaamuhum bihaazaaa am hum qawmun taaghoon

32Or do their minds command them to [say] this, or are they a transgressing people?

أَمْ يَقُولُونَ تَقَوَّلَهُۥ ۚ بَل لَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ ﴿٣٣﴾

Am yaqooloona taqawwalah; bal laa yu'minoon

33Or do they say, "He has made it up"? Rather, they do not believe.

فَلْيَأْتُوا۟ بِحَدِيثٍۢ مِّثْلِهِۦٓ إِن كَانُوا۟ صَٰدِقِينَ ﴿٣٤﴾

Falyaatoo bihadeesim misliheee in kaanoo saadiqeen

34Then let them produce a statement like it, if they should be truthful.

أَمْ خُلِقُوا۟ مِنْ غَيْرِ شَىْءٍ أَمْ هُمُ ٱلْخَٰلِقُونَ ﴿٣٥﴾

Am khuliqoo min ghairi shai'in am humul khaaliqoon

35Or were they created by nothing, or were they the creators [of themselves]?

أَمْ خَلَقُوا۟ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ ۚ بَل لَّا يُوقِنُونَ ﴿٣٦﴾

Am khalaqus samaawaati wal ard; bal laa yooqinoon

36Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather, they are not certain.

أَمْ عِندَهُمْ خَزَآئِنُ رَبِّكَ أَمْ هُمُ ٱلْمُصَۣيْطِرُونَ ﴿٣٧﴾

Am'indahum khazaaa'inu rabbika am humul musaitiroon

37Or have they the depositories [containing the provision] of your Lord? Or are they the controllers [of them]?

أَمْ لَهُمْ سُلَّمٌۭ يَسْتَمِعُونَ فِيهِ ۖ فَلْيَأْتِ مُسْتَمِعُهُم بِسُلْطَٰنٍۢ مُّبِينٍ ﴿٣٨﴾

Am lahum sullamuny yastami'oona feehi falyaati mustami'uhum bisultaanim mubeen

38Or have they a stairway [into the heaven] upon which they listen? Then let their listener produce a clear authority.

أَمْ لَهُ ٱلْبَنَٰتُ وَلَكُمُ ٱلْبَنُونَ ﴿٣٩﴾

Am lahul banaatu wa lakumul banoon

39Or has He daughters while you have sons?

أَمْ تَسْـَٔلُهُمْ أَجْرًۭا فَهُم مِّن مَّغْرَمٍۢ مُّثْقَلُونَ ﴿٤٠﴾

Am tas'aluhum ajran fahum mim maghramim musqaloon

40Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down?

أَمْ عِندَهُمُ ٱلْغَيْبُ فَهُمْ يَكْتُبُونَ ﴿٤١﴾

Am 'indahumul ghaibu fahum yaktuboon

41Or have they [knowledge of] the unseen, so they write [it] down?

أَمْ يُرِيدُونَ كَيْدًۭا ۖ فَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلْمَكِيدُونَ ﴿٤٢﴾

Am yureedoona kaidan fallazeena kafaroo humul makeedoon

42Or do they intend a plan? But those who disbelieve - they are the object of a plan.

أَمْ لَهُمْ إِلَٰهٌ غَيْرُ ٱللَّهِ ۚ سُبْحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ ﴿٤٣﴾

Am lahum ilaahun ghairul laa; subhaanal laahi 'ammaa yushrikoon

43Or have they a deity other than Allah? Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him.

وَإِن يَرَوْا۟ كِسْفًۭا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ سَاقِطًۭا يَقُولُوا۟ سَحَابٌۭ مَّرْكُومٌۭ ﴿٤٤﴾

Wa iny yaraw kisfam minas samaaa'i saaqitany yaqooloo sahaabum markoom

44And if they were to see a fragment from the sky falling, they would say, "[It is merely] clouds heaped up."

فَذَرْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يُلَٰقُوا۟ يَوْمَهُمُ ٱلَّذِى فِيهِ يُصْعَقُونَ ﴿٤٥﴾

Fazarhum hatta yulaaqoo yawmahumul lazee feehi yus'aqoon

45So leave them until they meet their Day in which they will be struck insensible -

يَوْمَ لَا يُغْنِى عَنْهُمْ كَيْدُهُمْ شَيْـًۭٔا وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ ﴿٤٦﴾

Yawma laa yughnee 'anhum kaidumhum shai'anw wa laa hum yunsaroon

46The Day their plan will not avail them at all, nor will they be helped.

وَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ عَذَابًۭا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ﴿٤٧﴾

Wa inna lillazeena zalamoo 'azaaban doona zalika wa laakinna aksarahum laa ya'lamoon

47And indeed, for those who have wronged is a punishment before that, but most of them do not know.

وَٱصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ فَإِنَّكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا ۖ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ ﴿٤٨﴾

Wasbir lihukmi rabbika fa innaka bi-a'yuninaa wa sabbih bihamdi rabbika heena taqoom

48And be patient, [O Muhammad], for the decision of your Lord, for indeed, you are in Our eyes. And exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord when you arise.

وَمِنَ ٱلَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ وَإِدْبَٰرَ ٱلنُّجُومِ ﴿٤٩﴾

Wa minal laili fasabbihhu wa idbaaran nujoom

49And in a part of the night exalt Him and after [the setting of] the stars.

وَٱلنَّجْمِ إِذَا هَوَىٰ ﴿١﴾

Wannajmi izaa hawaa

1By the star when it descends,

مَا ضَلَّ صَاحِبُكُمْ وَمَا غَوَىٰ ﴿٢﴾

Maa dalla saahibukum wa maa ghawaa

2Your companion [Muhammad] has not strayed, nor has he erred,

وَمَا يَنطِقُ عَنِ ٱلْهَوَىٰٓ ﴿٣﴾

Wa maa yyantiqu 'anilhawaaa

3Nor does he speak from [his own] inclination.

إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا وَحْىٌۭ يُوحَىٰ ﴿٤﴾

In huwa illaa Wahyuny yoohaa

4It is not but a revelation revealed,

عَلَّمَهُۥ شَدِيدُ ٱلْقُوَىٰ ﴿٥﴾

'Allamahoo shadeedul quwaa

5Taught to him by one intense in strength -

ذُو مِرَّةٍۢ فَٱسْتَوَىٰ ﴿٦﴾

Zoo mirratin fastawaa

6One of soundness. And he rose to [his] true form

وَهُوَ بِٱلْأُفُقِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ ﴿٧﴾

Wa huwa bil ufuqil a'laa

7While he was in the higher [part of the] horizon.

ثُمَّ دَنَا فَتَدَلَّىٰ ﴿٨﴾

Summa danaa fatadalla

8Then he approached and descended

فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ أَوْ أَدْنَىٰ ﴿٩﴾

Fakaana qaaba qawsaini aw adnaa

9And was at a distance of two bow lengths or nearer.

فَأَوْحَىٰٓ إِلَىٰ عَبْدِهِۦ مَآ أَوْحَىٰ ﴿١٠﴾

Fa awhaaa ilaa 'abdihee maaa awhaa

10And he revealed to His Servant what he revealed.

مَا كَذَبَ ٱلْفُؤَادُ مَا رَأَىٰٓ ﴿١١﴾

Maa kazabal fu'aadu maa ra aa

11The heart did not lie [about] what it saw.

أَفَتُمَٰرُونَهُۥ عَلَىٰ مَا يَرَىٰ ﴿١٢﴾

Afatumaaroonahoo 'alaa maayaraa

12So will you dispute with him over what he saw?

وَلَقَدْ رَءَاهُ نَزْلَةً أُخْرَىٰ ﴿١٣﴾

Wa laqad ra aahu nazlatan ukhraa

13And he certainly saw him in another descent

عِندَ سِدْرَةِ ٱلْمُنتَهَىٰ ﴿١٤﴾

'Inda sidratil muntaha

14At the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary -

عِندَهَا جَنَّةُ ٱلْمَأْوَىٰٓ ﴿١٥﴾

'Indahaa jannatul maawaa

15Near it is the Garden of Refuge -

إِذْ يَغْشَى ٱلسِّدْرَةَ مَا يَغْشَىٰ ﴿١٦﴾

Iz yaghshas sidrata maa yaghshaa

16When there covered the Lote Tree that which covered [it].

مَا زَاغَ ٱلْبَصَرُ وَمَا طَغَىٰ ﴿١٧﴾

Maa zaaghal basaru wa maa taghaa

17The sight [of the Prophet] did not swerve, nor did it transgress [its limit].

لَقَدْ رَأَىٰ مِنْ ءَايَٰتِ رَبِّهِ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰٓ ﴿١٨﴾

Laqad ra aa min aayaati Rabbihil kubraaa

18He certainly saw of the greatest signs of his Lord.

أَفَرَءَيْتُمُ ٱللَّٰتَ وَٱلْعُزَّىٰ ﴿١٩﴾

Afara'aytumul laata wal 'uzzaa

19So have you considered al-Lat and al-'Uzza?

وَمَنَوٰةَ ٱلثَّالِثَةَ ٱلْأُخْرَىٰٓ ﴿٢٠﴾

Wa manaatas saalisatal ukhraa

20And Manat, the third - the other one?

أَلَكُمُ ٱلذَّكَرُ وَلَهُ ٱلْأُنثَىٰ ﴿٢١﴾

A-lakumuz zakaru wa lahul unsaa

21Is the male for you and for Him the female?

تِلْكَ إِذًۭا قِسْمَةٌۭ ضِيزَىٰٓ ﴿٢٢﴾

Tilka izan qismatun deezaa

22That, then, is an unjust division.

إِنْ هِىَ إِلَّآ أَسْمَآءٌۭ سَمَّيْتُمُوهَآ أَنتُمْ وَءَابَآؤُكُم مَّآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ بِهَا مِن سُلْطَٰنٍ ۚ إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا ٱلظَّنَّ وَمَا تَهْوَى ٱلْأَنفُسُ ۖ وَلَقَدْ جَآءَهُم مِّن رَّبِّهِمُ ٱلْهُدَىٰٓ ﴿٢٣﴾

In hiya illaaa asmaaa'un sammaitumoohaaa antum wa aabaaa'ukum maaa anzalal laahu bihaa min sultaan; inyyattabi'oona illaz zanna wa maa tahwal anfusu wa laqad jaaa'ahum mir Rabbihimul hudaa

23They are not but [mere] names you have named them - you and your forefathers - for which Allah has sent down no authority. They follow not except assumption and what [their] souls desire, and there has already come to them from their Lord guidance.

أَمْ لِلْإِنسَٰنِ مَا تَمَنَّىٰ ﴿٢٤﴾

Am lil insaani maa taman naa

24Or is there for man whatever he wishes?

فَلِلَّهِ ٱلْءَاخِرَةُ وَٱلْأُولَىٰ ﴿٢٥﴾

Falillaahil aakhiratu wal oolaa

25Rather, to Allah belongs the Hereafter and the first [life].

۞ وَكَم مِّن مَّلَكٍۢ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ لَا تُغْنِى شَفَٰعَتُهُمْ شَيْـًٔا إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعْدِ أَن يَأْذَنَ ٱللَّهُ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيَرْضَىٰٓ ﴿٢٦﴾

Wa kam mim malakin fissamaawaati laa tughnee shafaa'atuhum shai'an illaa mim ba'di anyyaazanal laahu limany yashaaa'u wa yardaa

26And how many angels there are in the heavens whose intercession will not avail at all except [only] after Allah has permitted [it] to whom He wills and approves.

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ لَيُسَمُّونَ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ تَسْمِيَةَ ٱلْأُنثَىٰ ﴿٢٧﴾

innal lazeena laa yu'minoona bil aakhirati la yusammoonal malaaa'ikata tasmiyatal unsaa

27Indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter name the angels female names,

وَمَا لَهُم بِهِۦ مِنْ عِلْمٍ ۖ إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا ٱلظَّنَّ ۖ وَإِنَّ ٱلظَّنَّ لَا يُغْنِى مِنَ ٱلْحَقِّ شَيْـًۭٔا ﴿٢٨﴾

Wa maa lahum bihee min 'ilmin iny yattabi'oona illaz zanna wa innaz zanna laa yughnee minal haqqi shai'aa

28And they have thereof no knowledge. They follow not except assumption, and indeed, assumption avails not against the truth at all.

فَأَعْرِضْ عَن مَّن تَوَلَّىٰ عَن ذِكْرِنَا وَلَمْ يُرِدْ إِلَّا ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا ﴿٢٩﴾

Fa a'rid 'am man tawallaa 'an zikrinaa wa lam yurid illal hayaatad dunyaa

29So turn away from whoever turns his back on Our message and desires not except the worldly life.

ذَٰلِكَ مَبْلَغُهُم مِّنَ ٱلْعِلْمِ ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَن ضَلَّ عَن سَبِيلِهِۦ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنِ ٱهْتَدَىٰ ﴿٣٠﴾

Zalika mablaghuhum minal 'ilm; inna rabbaka huwa a'lamu biman dalla 'an sabee lihee wa huwa a'lamu bimanih tadaa

30That is their sum of knowledge. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who strays from His way, and He is most knowing of who is guided.

وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ لِيَجْزِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَسَٰٓـُٔوا۟ بِمَا عَمِلُوا۟ وَيَجْزِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُوا۟ بِٱلْحُسْنَى ﴿٣١﴾

Wa lillaahi maa fis samaawaati wa maa fil ardi liyajziyal lazeena asaaa'oo bimaa 'amiloo wa yajziyal lazeena ahsanoo bilhusnaa

31And to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth - that He may recompense those who do evil with [the penalty of] what they have done and recompense those who do good with the best [reward] -

ٱلَّذِينَ يَجْتَنِبُونَ كَبَٰٓئِرَ ٱلْإِثْمِ وَٱلْفَوَٰحِشَ إِلَّا ٱللَّمَمَ ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ وَٰسِعُ ٱلْمَغْفِرَةِ ۚ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِكُمْ إِذْ أَنشَأَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ وَإِذْ أَنتُمْ أَجِنَّةٌۭ فِى بُطُونِ أُمَّهَٰتِكُمْ ۖ فَلَا تُزَكُّوٓا۟ أَنفُسَكُمْ ۖ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنِ ٱتَّقَىٰٓ ﴿٣٢﴾

Allazeena yajtaniboona kabaaa'iral ismi walfawaa hisha illal lamam; inna rabbaka waasi'ul maghfirah; huwa a'lamu bikum iz ansha akum minal ardi wa iz antum ajinnatun fee butooni umma haatikum falaa tuzakkooo anfusakum huwa a'lamu bimanit taqaa

32Those who avoid the major sins and immoralities, only [committing] slight ones. Indeed, your Lord is vast in forgiveness. He was most knowing of you when He produced you from the earth and when you were fetuses in the wombs of your mothers. So do not claim yourselves to be pure; He is most knowing of who fears Him.

أَفَرَءَيْتَ ٱلَّذِى تَوَلَّىٰ ﴿٣٣﴾

Afara'ayatal lazee tawallaa

33Have you seen the one who turned away

وَأَعْطَىٰ قَلِيلًۭا وَأَكْدَىٰٓ ﴿٣٤﴾

Wa a'taa qaleelanw wa akdaa

34And gave a little and [then] refrained?

أَعِندَهُۥ عِلْمُ ٱلْغَيْبِ فَهُوَ يَرَىٰٓ ﴿٣٥﴾

A'indahoo 'ilmul ghaibi fahuwa yaraa

35Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees?

أَمْ لَمْ يُنَبَّأْ بِمَا فِى صُحُفِ مُوسَىٰ ﴿٣٦﴾

Am lam yunabbaa bimaa fee suhuhfi Moosa

36Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses

وَإِبْرَٰهِيمَ ٱلَّذِى وَفَّىٰٓ ﴿٣٧﴾

Wa Ibraaheemal lazee waffaaa

37And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] -

أَلَّا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌۭ وِزْرَ أُخْرَىٰ ﴿٣٨﴾

Allaa taziru waaziratunw wizra ukhraa

38That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another

وَأَن لَّيْسَ لِلْإِنسَٰنِ إِلَّا مَا سَعَىٰ ﴿٣٩﴾

Wa al laisa lil insaani illaa maa sa'aa

39And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives

وَأَنَّ سَعْيَهُۥ سَوْفَ يُرَىٰ ﴿٤٠﴾

Wa anna sa'yahoo sawfa yuraa

40And that his effort is going to be seen -

ثُمَّ يُجْزَىٰهُ ٱلْجَزَآءَ ٱلْأَوْفَىٰ ﴿٤١﴾

Summa yujzaahul jazaaa 'al awfaa

41Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense

وَأَنَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ ٱلْمُنتَهَىٰ ﴿٤٢﴾

Wa anna ilaa rabbikal muntahaa

42And that to your Lord is the finality

وَأَنَّهُۥ هُوَ أَضْحَكَ وَأَبْكَىٰ ﴿٤٣﴾

Wa annahoo huwa adhaka wa abkaa

43And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep

وَأَنَّهُۥ هُوَ أَمَاتَ وَأَحْيَا ﴿٤٤﴾

Wa annahoo huwa amaata wa ahyaa

44And that it is He who causes death and gives life

وَأَنَّهُۥ خَلَقَ ٱلزَّوْجَيْنِ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلْأُنثَىٰ ﴿٤٥﴾

Wa annahoo khalaqaz zawjainiz zakara wal unsaa

45And that He creates the two mates - the male and female -

مِن نُّطْفَةٍ إِذَا تُمْنَىٰ ﴿٤٦﴾

Min nutfatin izaa tumnaa

46From a sperm-drop when it is emitted

وَأَنَّ عَلَيْهِ ٱلنَّشْأَةَ ٱلْأُخْرَىٰ ﴿٤٧﴾

Wa anna 'alaihin nash atal ukhraa

47And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation

وَأَنَّهُۥ هُوَ أَغْنَىٰ وَأَقْنَىٰ ﴿٤٨﴾

Wa annahoo huwa aghnaa wa aqnaa

48And that it is He who enriches and suffices

وَأَنَّهُۥ هُوَ رَبُّ ٱلشِّعْرَىٰ ﴿٤٩﴾

Wa annahoo huwa rabbush shi'raa

49And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius

وَأَنَّهُۥٓ أَهْلَكَ عَادًا ٱلْأُولَىٰ ﴿٥٠﴾

Wa annahooo ahlak a 'Aadanil oolaa

50And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad

وَثَمُودَا۟ فَمَآ أَبْقَىٰ ﴿٥١﴾

Wa samooda famaaa abqaa

51And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] -

وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍۢ مِّن قَبْلُ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ هُمْ أَظْلَمَ وَأَطْغَىٰ ﴿٥٢﴾

Wa qawma Noohim min qablu innahum kaanoo hum azlama wa atghaa

52And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing.

وَٱلْمُؤْتَفِكَةَ أَهْوَىٰ ﴿٥٣﴾

Wal mu'tafikata ahwaa

53And the overturned towns He hurled down

فَغَشَّىٰهَا مَا غَشَّىٰ ﴿٥٤﴾

Faghashshaahaa maa ghashshaa

54And covered them by that which He covered.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكَ تَتَمَارَىٰ ﴿٥٥﴾

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbika tatamaaraa

55Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt?

هَٰذَا نَذِيرٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلنُّذُرِ ٱلْأُولَىٰٓ ﴿٥٦﴾

Haazaa nazeerum minan nuzuril oolaa

56This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners.

أَزِفَتِ ٱلْءَازِفَةُ ﴿٥٧﴾

Azifatil laazifah

57The Approaching Day has approached.

لَيْسَ لَهَا مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ كَاشِفَةٌ ﴿٥٨﴾

Laisa lahaa min doonil laahi kaashifah

58Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover.

أَفَمِنْ هَٰذَا ٱلْحَدِيثِ تَعْجَبُونَ ﴿٥٩﴾

Afamin hazal hadeesi ta'jaboon

59Then at this statement do you wonder?

وَتَضْحَكُونَ وَلَا تَبْكُونَ ﴿٦٠﴾

Wa tadhakoona wa laa tabkoon

60And you laugh and do not weep

وَأَنتُمْ سَٰمِدُونَ ﴿٦١﴾

Wa antum saamidoon

61While you are proudly sporting?

فَٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِلَّهِ وَٱعْبُدُوا۟ ۩ ﴿٦٢﴾

Fasjudoo lillaahi wa'budoo

62So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him].

ٱقْتَرَبَتِ ٱلسَّاعَةُ وَٱنشَقَّ ٱلْقَمَرُ ﴿١﴾

Iqtarabatis Saa'atu wsan shaqqal qamar

1The Hour has come near, and the moon has split [in two].

وَإِن يَرَوْا۟ ءَايَةًۭ يُعْرِضُوا۟ وَيَقُولُوا۟ سِحْرٌۭ مُّسْتَمِرٌّۭ ﴿٢﴾

Wa iny yaraw aayatany yu'ridoo wa yaqooloo sihrum mustamirr

2And if they see a miracle, they turn away and say, "Passing magic."

وَكَذَّبُوا۟ وَٱتَّبَعُوٓا۟ أَهْوَآءَهُمْ ۚ وَكُلُّ أَمْرٍۢ مُّسْتَقِرٌّۭ ﴿٣﴾

Wa kazzaboo wattaba'ooo ahwaaa'ahum; wa kullu amrim mustaqirr

3And they denied and followed their inclinations. But for every matter is a [time of] settlement.

وَلَقَدْ جَآءَهُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَنۢبَآءِ مَا فِيهِ مُزْدَجَرٌ ﴿٤﴾

Wa laqad jaaa'ahum minal ambaaa'i maa feehi muzdajar

4And there has already come to them of information that in which there is deterrence -

حِكْمَةٌۢ بَٰلِغَةٌۭ ۖ فَمَا تُغْنِ ٱلنُّذُرُ ﴿٥﴾

Hikmatum baalighatun famaa tughnin nuzur

5Extensive wisdom - but warning does not avail [them].

فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ ۘ يَوْمَ يَدْعُ ٱلدَّاعِ إِلَىٰ شَىْءٍۢ نُّكُرٍ ﴿٦﴾

Fatawalla 'anhum; yawma yad'ud daa'i ilaa shai 'in nukur

6So leave them, [O Muhammad]. The Day the Caller calls to something forbidding,

خُشَّعًا أَبْصَٰرُهُمْ يَخْرُجُونَ مِنَ ٱلْأَجْدَاثِ كَأَنَّهُمْ جَرَادٌۭ مُّنتَشِرٌۭ ﴿٧﴾

khushsha'an absaaruhum yakrujoona minal ajdaasi ka annahum jaraadum muntashir

7Their eyes humbled, they will emerge from the graves as if they were locusts spreading,

مُّهْطِعِينَ إِلَى ٱلدَّاعِ ۖ يَقُولُ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ هَٰذَا يَوْمٌ عَسِرٌۭ ﴿٨﴾

Muhti'eena ilad daa'i yaqoolul kafiroona haazaa yawmun 'asir

8Racing ahead toward the Caller. The disbelievers will say, "This is a difficult Day."

۞ كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍۢ فَكَذَّبُوا۟ عَبْدَنَا وَقَالُوا۟ مَجْنُونٌۭ وَٱزْدُجِرَ ﴿٩﴾

Kazzabat qablahum qawmu Noohin fakazzaboo 'abdanaa wa qaaloo majnoo nunw wazdujir

9The people of Noah denied before them, and they denied Our servant and said, "A madman," and he was repelled.

فَدَعَا رَبَّهُۥٓ أَنِّى مَغْلُوبٌۭ فَٱنتَصِرْ ﴿١٠﴾

Fada'aa Rabbahooo annee maghloobun fantasir

10So he invoked his Lord, "Indeed, I am overpowered, so help."

فَفَتَحْنَآ أَبْوَٰبَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ بِمَآءٍۢ مُّنْهَمِرٍۢ ﴿١١﴾

Fafatahnaaa abwaabas sa maaa'i bimaa'im munhamir

11Then We opened the gates of the heaven with rain pouring down

وَفَجَّرْنَا ٱلْأَرْضَ عُيُونًۭا فَٱلْتَقَى ٱلْمَآءُ عَلَىٰٓ أَمْرٍۢ قَدْ قُدِرَ ﴿١٢﴾

Wa fajjamal arda 'uyoonan faltaqal maaa'u 'alaaa amrin qad qudir

12And caused the earth to burst with springs, and the waters met for a matter already predestined.

وَحَمَلْنَٰهُ عَلَىٰ ذَاتِ أَلْوَٰحٍۢ وَدُسُرٍۢ ﴿١٣﴾

Wa hamalnaahu 'alaa zaati alwaahinw wa dusur

13And We carried him on a [construction of] planks and nails,

تَجْرِى بِأَعْيُنِنَا جَزَآءًۭ لِّمَن كَانَ كُفِرَ ﴿١٤﴾

Tajree bi a'yuninaa jazaaa 'al liman kaana kufir

14Sailing under Our observation as reward for he who had been denied.

وَلَقَد تَّرَكْنَٰهَآ ءَايَةًۭ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍۢ ﴿١٥﴾

Wa laqat taraknaahaad aayatan fahal mim muddakir

15And We left it as a sign, so is there any who will remember?

فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ ﴿١٦﴾

Fakaifa kaana 'azaabee wa nuzur

16And how [severe] were My punishment and warning.

وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍۢ ﴿١٧﴾

Wa laqad yassamal Quraana liz zikri fahal mimmuddakir

17And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?

كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌۭ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ ﴿١٨﴾

Kazzabat 'Aadun fakaifa kaana 'azaabee wa nuzur

18'Aad denied; and how [severe] were My punishment and warning.

إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحًۭا صَرْصَرًۭا فِى يَوْمِ نَحْسٍۢ مُّسْتَمِرٍّۢ ﴿١٩﴾

Innaa arsalnaa 'alaihim reehan sarsaran fee Yawmi nahsim mustamirr

19Indeed, We sent upon them a screaming wind on a day of continuous misfortune,

تَنزِعُ ٱلنَّاسَ كَأَنَّهُمْ أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍۢ مُّنقَعِرٍۢ ﴿٢٠﴾

Tanzi;un naasa ka anna huma'jaazu nakhlim munqa'ir

20Extracting the people as if they were trunks of palm trees uprooted.

فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ ﴿٢١﴾

'Fakaifa kaana 'azaabee wa nuzur

21And how [severe] were My punishment and warning.

وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍۢ ﴿٢٢﴾

Wa laqad yassamal Quraana liz zikri fahal mim muddakir

22And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?

كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِٱلنُّذُرِ ﴿٢٣﴾

Kazzabat Samoodu binnuzur

23Thamud denied the warning

فَقَالُوٓا۟ أَبَشَرًۭا مِّنَّا وَٰحِدًۭا نَّتَّبِعُهُۥٓ إِنَّآ إِذًۭا لَّفِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ وَسُعُرٍ ﴿٢٤﴾

Faqaalooo a-basharam minnaa waahidan nattabi'uhooo innaa izal lafee dalaalinw wa su'ur

24And said, "Is it one human being among us that we should follow? Indeed, we would then be in error and madness.

أَءُلْقِىَ ٱلذِّكْرُ عَلَيْهِ مِنۢ بَيْنِنَا بَلْ هُوَ كَذَّابٌ أَشِرٌۭ ﴿٢٥﴾

'A-ulqiyaz zikru 'alaihi mim baininaa bal huwa kazzaabun ashir

25Has the message been sent down upon him from among us? Rather, he is an insolent liar."

سَيَعْلَمُونَ غَدًۭا مَّنِ ٱلْكَذَّابُ ٱلْأَشِرُ ﴿٢٦﴾

Sa-ya'lamoona ghadam manil kazzaabul ashir

26They will know tomorrow who is the insolent liar.

إِنَّا مُرْسِلُوا۟ ٱلنَّاقَةِ فِتْنَةًۭ لَّهُمْ فَٱرْتَقِبْهُمْ وَٱصْطَبِرْ ﴿٢٧﴾

Innaa mursilun naaqati fitnatal lahum fartaqibhum wastabir

27Indeed, We are sending the she-camel as trial for them, so watch them and be patient.

وَنَبِّئْهُمْ أَنَّ ٱلْمَآءَ قِسْمَةٌۢ بَيْنَهُمْ ۖ كُلُّ شِرْبٍۢ مُّحْتَضَرٌۭ ﴿٢٨﴾

Wa nabbi'hum annal maaa'a qismatum bainahum kullu shirbim muhtadar

28And inform them that the water is shared between them, each [day of] drink attended [by turn].

فَنَادَوْا۟ صَاحِبَهُمْ فَتَعَاطَىٰ فَعَقَرَ ﴿٢٩﴾

Fanaadaw saahibahum fata'aataa fa'aqar

29But they called their companion, and he dared and hamstrung [her].

فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ ﴿٣٠﴾

Fakaifa kaana 'azaabee wa nuzur

30And how [severe] were My punishment and warning.

إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ صَيْحَةًۭ وَٰحِدَةًۭ فَكَانُوا۟ كَهَشِيمِ ٱلْمُحْتَظِرِ ﴿٣١﴾

Innaaa arsalnaa 'alaihim saihatanw waahidatan fakaano kahasheemil muhtazir

31Indeed, We sent upon them one blast from the sky, and they became like the dry twig fragments of an [animal] pen.

وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍۢ ﴿٣٢﴾

Wa laqad yassarnal quraana liz zikri fahal mim muddakir

32And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?

كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍۭ بِٱلنُّذُرِ ﴿٣٣﴾

Kazzabat qawmu lootim binnuzur

33The people of Lot denied the warning.

إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ حَاصِبًا إِلَّآ ءَالَ لُوطٍۢ ۖ نَّجَّيْنَٰهُم بِسَحَرٍۢ ﴿٣٤﴾

Innaa arsalnaa 'alaihim haasiban illaaa aala Loot najjainaahum bisahar

34Indeed, We sent upon them a storm of stones, except the family of Lot - We saved them before dawn

نِّعْمَةًۭ مِّنْ عِندِنَا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى مَن شَكَرَ ﴿٣٥﴾

Ni'matam min 'indinaa; kazaalika najzee man shakar

35As favor from us. Thus do We reward he who is grateful.

وَلَقَدْ أَنذَرَهُم بَطْشَتَنَا فَتَمَارَوْا۟ بِٱلنُّذُرِ ﴿٣٦﴾

Wa laqad anzarahum batshatanaa fatamaaraw binnuzur

36And he had already warned them of Our assault, but they disputed the warning.

وَلَقَدْ رَٰوَدُوهُ عَن ضَيْفِهِۦ فَطَمَسْنَآ أَعْيُنَهُمْ فَذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ ﴿٣٧﴾

Wa laqad raawadoohu 'andaifee fatamasnaaa a'yunahum fazooqoo 'azaabee wa nuzur

37And they had demanded from him his guests, but We obliterated their eyes, [saying], "Taste My punishment and warning."

وَلَقَدْ صَبَّحَهُم بُكْرَةً عَذَابٌۭ مُّسْتَقِرٌّۭ ﴿٣٨﴾

Wa laqad sabbahahum bukratan 'azaabum mustaqirr

38And there came upon them by morning an abiding punishment.

فَذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ ﴿٣٩﴾

Fazooqoo 'azaabee wa nuzur

39So taste My punishment and warning.

وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍۢ ﴿٤٠﴾

Wa laqad yassarnal Quraana liz zikri fahal mim muddakir

40And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?

وَلَقَدْ جَآءَ ءَالَ فِرْعَوْنَ ٱلنُّذُرُ ﴿٤١﴾

Wa laqad jaaa'a Aala Fir'awnan nuzur

41And there certainly came to the people of Pharaoh warning.

كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا كُلِّهَا فَأَخَذْنَٰهُمْ أَخْذَ عَزِيزٍۢ مُّقْتَدِرٍ ﴿٤٢﴾

Kazzaboo bi Aayaatinaa kullihaa fa akhaznaahum akhza 'azeezim muqtadir

42They denied Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with a seizure of one Exalted in Might and Perfect in Ability.

أَكُفَّارُكُمْ خَيْرٌۭ مِّنْ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكُمْ أَمْ لَكُم بَرَآءَةٌۭ فِى ٱلزُّبُرِ ﴿٤٣﴾

Akuffaarukum khairum min ulaaa'ikum am lakum baraaa'atun fiz Zubur

43Are your disbelievers better than those [former ones], or have you immunity in the scripture?

أَمْ يَقُولُونَ نَحْنُ جَمِيعٌۭ مُّنتَصِرٌۭ ﴿٤٤﴾

Am yaqooloona nahnu jamee'um muntasir

44Or do they say, "We are an assembly supporting [each other]"?

سَيُهْزَمُ ٱلْجَمْعُ وَيُوَلُّونَ ٱلدُّبُرَ ﴿٤٥﴾

Sa yuhzamul jam'u wa yuwalloonad dubur

45[Their] assembly will be defeated, and they will turn their backs [in retreat].

بَلِ ٱلسَّاعَةُ مَوْعِدُهُمْ وَٱلسَّاعَةُ أَدْهَىٰ وَأَمَرُّ ﴿٤٦﴾

Balis Saa'atu maw'iduhum was Saa'atu adhaa wa amarr

46But the Hour is their appointment [for due punishment], and the Hour is more disastrous and more bitter.

إِنَّ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ وَسُعُرٍۢ ﴿٤٧﴾

Innal mujrimeena fee dalaalinw wa su'ur

47Indeed, the criminals are in error and madness.

يَوْمَ يُسْحَبُونَ فِى ٱلنَّارِ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمْ ذُوقُوا۟ مَسَّ سَقَرَ ﴿٤٨﴾

Yawma yushaboona fin Naari'alaa wujoohimim zooqoo massa saqar

48The Day they are dragged into the Fire on their faces [it will be said], "Taste the touch of Saqar."

إِنَّا كُلَّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقْنَٰهُ بِقَدَرٍۢ ﴿٤٩﴾

Innaa kulla shai'in khalaqnaahu biqadar

49Indeed, all things We created with predestination.

وَمَآ أَمْرُنَآ إِلَّا وَٰحِدَةٌۭ كَلَمْحٍۭ بِٱلْبَصَرِ ﴿٥٠﴾

Wa maaa amrunaaa illaa waahidatun kalamhim bilbasar

50And Our command is but one, like a glance of the eye.

وَلَقَدْ أَهْلَكْنَآ أَشْيَاعَكُمْ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍۢ ﴿٥١﴾

Wa laqad ahlaknaaa ashyaa'akum fahal mim muddakir

51And We have already destroyed your kinds, so is there any who will remember?

وَكُلُّ شَىْءٍۢ فَعَلُوهُ فِى ٱلزُّبُرِ ﴿٥٢﴾

Wa kullu shai'in fa'aloohu fiz Zubur

52And everything they did is in written records.

وَكُلُّ صَغِيرٍۢ وَكَبِيرٍۢ مُّسْتَطَرٌ ﴿٥٣﴾

Wa kullu sagheerinw wa kabeerim mustatar

53And every small and great [thing] is inscribed.

إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى جَنَّٰتٍۢ وَنَهَرٍۢ ﴿٥٤﴾

Innal muttaqeena fee jannaatinw wa nahar

54Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and rivers,

فِى مَقْعَدِ صِدْقٍ عِندَ مَلِيكٍۢ مُّقْتَدِرٍۭ ﴿٥٥﴾

Fee maq'adi sidqin 'inda Maleekim Muqtadir

55In a seat of honor near a Sovereign, Perfect in Ability.

ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ ﴿١﴾

Ar Rahmaan

1The Most Merciful

عَلَّمَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ ﴿٢﴾

'Allamal Quran

2Taught the Qur'an,

خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ ﴿٣﴾

Khalaqal insaan

3Created man,

عَلَّمَهُ ٱلْبَيَانَ ﴿٤﴾

'Allamalhul bayaan

4[And] taught him eloquence.

ٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍۢ ﴿٥﴾

Ashshamsu walqamaru bihusbaan

5The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation,

وَٱلنَّجْمُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ ﴿٦﴾

Wannajmu washshajaru yasjudan

6And the stars and trees prostrate.

وَٱلسَّمَآءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ ٱلْمِيزَانَ ﴿٧﴾

Wassamaaa'a rafa'ahaa wa wada'al Meezan

7And the heaven He raised and imposed the balance

أَلَّا تَطْغَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْمِيزَانِ ﴿٨﴾

Allaa tatghaw fil meezaan

8That you not transgress within the balance.

وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلْوَزْنَ بِٱلْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا۟ ٱلْمِيزَانَ ﴿٩﴾

Wa aqeemul wazna bilqisti wa laa tukhsirul meezaan

9And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance.

وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ ﴿١٠﴾

Wal arda wada'ahaa lilanaame

10And the earth He laid [out] for the creatures.

فِيهَا فَٰكِهَةٌۭ وَٱلنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ ٱلْأَكْمَامِ ﴿١١﴾

Feehaa faakihatunw wan nakhlu zaatul akmaam

11Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates]

وَٱلْحَبُّ ذُو ٱلْعَصْفِ وَٱلرَّيْحَانُ ﴿١٢﴾

Walhabbu zul 'asfi war Raihaanu

12And grain having husks and scented plants.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿١٣﴾

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

13So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ مِن صَلْصَٰلٍۢ كَٱلْفَخَّارِ ﴿١٤﴾

Khalaqal insaana min salsaalin kalfakhkhaari

14He created man from clay like [that of] pottery.

وَخَلَقَ ٱلْجَآنَّ مِن مَّارِجٍۢ مِّن نَّارٍۢ ﴿١٥﴾

Wa khalaqal jaaan mim maarijim min naar

15And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿١٦﴾

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

16So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

رَبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ ٱلْمَغْرِبَيْنِ ﴿١٧﴾

Rabbul mashriqayni wa Rabbul maghribayni

17[He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿١٨﴾

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

18So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

مَرَجَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ ﴿١٩﴾

Marajal bahrayni yalta qiyaani

19He released the two seas, meeting [side by side];

بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌۭ لَّا يَبْغِيَانِ ﴿٢٠﴾

Bainahumaa barzakhul laa yabghiyaan

20Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٢١﴾

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

21So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا ٱللُّؤْلُؤُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ ﴿٢٢﴾

Yakhruju minhumal lu 'lu u wal marjaanu

22From both of them emerge pearl and coral.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٢٣﴾

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

23So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

وَلَهُ ٱلْجَوَارِ ٱلْمُنشَـَٔاتُ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ كَٱلْأَعْلَٰمِ ﴿٢٤﴾

Wa lahul jawaaril mun sha'aatu fil bahri kal a'laam

24And to Him belong the ships [with sails] elevated in the sea like mountains.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٢٥﴾

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

25So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍۢ ﴿٢٦﴾

Kullu man 'alaihaa faan

26Everyone upon the earth will perish,

وَيَبْقَىٰ وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو ٱلْجَلَٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ ﴿٢٧﴾

Wa yabqaa wajhu rabbika zul jalaali wal ikraam

27And there will remain the Face of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٢٨﴾

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

28So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

يَسْـَٔلُهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِى شَأْنٍۢ ﴿٢٩﴾

Yas'aluhoo man fissamaawaati walard; kulla ywmin huwa fee shaan

29Whoever is within the heavens and earth asks Him; every day He is bringing about a matter.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٣٠﴾

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

30So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَ ٱلثَّقَلَانِ ﴿٣١﴾

Sanafrughu lakum ayyuhas saqalaan

31We will attend to you, O prominent beings.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٣٢﴾

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

32So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

يَٰمَعْشَرَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ إِنِ ٱسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَن تَنفُذُوا۟ مِنْ أَقْطَارِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ فَٱنفُذُوا۟ ۚ لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَٰنٍۢ ﴿٣٣﴾

Yaa ma'sharal jinni wal insi inis tata'tum an tanfuzoo min aqtaaris samaawaati wal ardi fanfuzoo; laa tanfuzoona illaa bisultaan

33O company of jinn and mankind, if you are able to pass beyond the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass. You will not pass except by authority [from Allah].

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٣٤﴾

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

34So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌۭ مِّن نَّارٍۢ وَنُحَاسٌۭ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ ﴿٣٥﴾

Yursalu 'alaikumaa shuwaazum min naarifiw-wa nuhaasun falaa tantasiraan

35There will be sent upon you a flame of fire and smoke, and you will not defend yourselves.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٣٦﴾

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

36So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فَإِذَا ٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةًۭ كَٱلدِّهَانِ ﴿٣٧﴾

Fa-izan shaqqatis samaaa'u fakaanat wardatan kaddihaan

37And when the heaven is split open and becomes rose-colored like oil -

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٣٨﴾

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

38So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

فَيَوْمَئِذٍۢ لَّا يُسْـَٔلُ عَن ذَنۢبِهِۦٓ إِنسٌۭ وَلَا جَآنٌّۭ ﴿٣٩﴾

Fa-yawma'izil laa yus'alu 'an zambiheee insunw wa laa jaann

39Then on that Day none will be asked about his sin among men or jinn.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٤٠﴾

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

40So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

يُعْرَفُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَٰهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِٱلنَّوَٰصِى وَٱلْأَقْدَامِ ﴿٤١﴾

Yu'raful mujrimoona biseemaahum fa'yu'khazu binna waasi wal aqdaam

41The criminals will be known by their marks, and they will be seized by the forelocks and the feet.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٤٢﴾

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

42So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

هَٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِى يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ ﴿٤٣﴾

Haazihee jahannamul latee yukazzibu bihal mujrimoon

43This is Hell, which the criminals deny.

يَطُوفُونَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَمِيمٍ ءَانٍۢ ﴿٤٤﴾

Yatoofoona bainahaa wa baina hameemim aan

44They will go around between it and scalding water, heated [to the utmost degree].

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٤٥﴾

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

45So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ جَنَّتَانِ ﴿٤٦﴾

Wa liman khaafa maqaama rabbihee jannataan

46But for he who has feared the position of his Lord are two gardens -

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٤٧﴾

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

47So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

ذَوَاتَآ أَفْنَانٍۢ ﴿٤٨﴾

Zawaataaa afnaan

48Having [spreading] branches.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٤٩﴾

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

49So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ تَجْرِيَانِ ﴿٥٠﴾

Feehimaa 'aynaani tajriyaan

50In both of them are two springs, flowing.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٥١﴾

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

51So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فِيهِمَا مِن كُلِّ فَٰكِهَةٍۢ زَوْجَانِ ﴿٥٢﴾

Feehimaa min kulli faakihatin zawjaan

52In both of them are of every fruit, two kinds.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٥٣﴾

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

53So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشٍۭ بَطَآئِنُهَا مِنْ إِسْتَبْرَقٍۢ ۚ وَجَنَى ٱلْجَنَّتَيْنِ دَانٍۢ ﴿٥٤﴾

Muttaki'eena 'alaa furushim bataaa'inuhaa min istabraq; wajanal jannataini daan

54[They are] reclining on beds whose linings are of silk brocade, and the fruit of the two gardens is hanging low.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٥٥﴾

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

55So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فِيهِنَّ قَٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرْفِ لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌۭ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّۭ ﴿٥٦﴾

Feehinna qaasiratut tarfi lam yatmishunna insun qablahum wa laa jaaann

56In them are women limiting [their] glances, untouched before them by man or jinni -

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٥٧﴾

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

57So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

كَأَنَّهُنَّ ٱلْيَاقُوتُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ ﴿٥٨﴾

ka annahunnal yaaqootu wal marjaan

58As if they were rubies and coral.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٥٩﴾

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

59So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

هَلْ جَزَآءُ ٱلْإِحْسَٰنِ إِلَّا ٱلْإِحْسَٰنُ ﴿٦٠﴾

Hal jazaaa'ul ihsaani illal ihsaan

60Is the reward for good [anything] but good?

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٦١﴾

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

61So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

وَمِن دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ ﴿٦٢﴾

Wa min doonihimaa jannataan

62And below them both [in excellence] are two [other] gardens -

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٦٣﴾

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

63So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

مُدْهَآمَّتَانِ ﴿٦٤﴾

Mudhaaammataan

64Dark green [in color].

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٦٥﴾

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

65So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ ﴿٦٦﴾

Feehimaa 'aynaani nad daakhataan

66In both of them are two springs, spouting.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٦٧﴾

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

67So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فِيهِمَا فَٰكِهَةٌۭ وَنَخْلٌۭ وَرُمَّانٌۭ ﴿٦٨﴾

Feehimaa faakihatunw wa nakhlunw wa rummaan

68In both of them are fruit and palm trees and pomegranates.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٦٩﴾

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

69So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فِيهِنَّ خَيْرَٰتٌ حِسَانٌۭ ﴿٧٠﴾

Feehinna khairaatun hisaan

70In them are good and beautiful women -

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٧١﴾

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

71So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

حُورٌۭ مَّقْصُورَٰتٌۭ فِى ٱلْخِيَامِ ﴿٧٢﴾

Hoorum maqsooraatun fil khiyaam

72Fair ones reserved in pavilions -

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٧٣﴾

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

73So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌۭ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّۭ ﴿٧٤﴾

Lam yatmis hunna insun qablahum wa laa jaaann

74Untouched before them by man or jinni -

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٧٥﴾

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

75So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ رَفْرَفٍ خُضْرٍۢ وَعَبْقَرِىٍّ حِسَانٍۢ ﴿٧٦﴾

Muttaki'eena 'alaa rafratin khudrinw wa 'abqariyyin hisaan

76Reclining on green cushions and beautiful fine carpets.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٧٧﴾

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

77So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

تَبَٰرَكَ ٱسْمُ رَبِّكَ ذِى ٱلْجَلَٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ ﴿٧٨﴾

Tabaarakasmu Rabbika Zil-Jalaali wal-Ikraam

78Blessed is the name of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor.

إِذَا وَقَعَتِ ٱلْوَاقِعَةُ ﴿١﴾

Izaa waqa'atil waaqi'ah

1When the Occurrence occurs,

لَيْسَ لِوَقْعَتِهَا كَاذِبَةٌ ﴿٢﴾

Laisa liwaq'atihaa kaazibah

2There is, at its occurrence, no denial.

خَافِضَةٌۭ رَّافِعَةٌ ﴿٣﴾

Khafidatur raafi'ah

3It will bring down [some] and raise up [others].

إِذَا رُجَّتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ رَجًّۭا ﴿٤﴾

Izaa rujjatil ardu rajjaa

4When the earth is shaken with convulsion

وَبُسَّتِ ٱلْجِبَالُ بَسًّۭا ﴿٥﴾

Wa bussatil jibaalu bassaa

5And the mountains are broken down, crumbling

فَكَانَتْ هَبَآءًۭ مُّنۢبَثًّۭا ﴿٦﴾

Fakaanat habaaa'am mumbassaa

6And become dust dispersing.

وَكُنتُمْ أَزْوَٰجًۭا ثَلَٰثَةًۭ ﴿٧﴾

Wa kuntum azwaajan salaasah

7And you become [of] three kinds:

فَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ مَآ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ ﴿٨﴾

Fa as haabul maimanati maaa as haabul maimanah

8Then the companions of the right - what are the companions of the right?

وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ مَآ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ ﴿٩﴾

Wa as haabul mash'amati maaa as haabul mash'amah

9And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left?

وَٱلسَّٰبِقُونَ ٱلسَّٰبِقُونَ ﴿١٠﴾

Wassaabiqoonas saabiqoon

10And the forerunners, the forerunners -

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ ﴿١١﴾

Ulaaa'ikal muqarraboon

11Those are the ones brought near [to Allah]

فِى جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ ﴿١٢﴾

Fee Jannaatin Na'eem

12In the Gardens of Pleasure,

ثُلَّةٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ﴿١٣﴾

Sullatum minal awwaleen

13A [large] company of the former peoples

وَقَلِيلٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ ﴿١٤﴾

Wa qaleelum minal aa khireen

14And a few of the later peoples,

عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍۢ مَّوْضُونَةٍۢ ﴿١٥﴾

'Alaa sururim mawdoonah

15On thrones woven [with ornament],

مُّتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَيْهَا مُتَقَٰبِلِينَ ﴿١٦﴾

Muttaki'eena 'alaihaa mutaqabileen

16Reclining on them, facing each other.

يَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ وِلْدَٰنٌۭ مُّخَلَّدُونَ ﴿١٧﴾

Yatoofu 'alaihim wildaa num mukkhalladoon

17There will circulate among them young boys made eternal

بِأَكْوَابٍۢ وَأَبَارِيقَ وَكَأْسٍۢ مِّن مَّعِينٍۢ ﴿١٨﴾

Bi akwaabinw wa abaareeq, wa kaasim mim ma'een

18With vessels, pitchers and a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring -

لَّا يُصَدَّعُونَ عَنْهَا وَلَا يُنزِفُونَ ﴿١٩﴾

Laa yusadda'oona 'anhaa wa laa yunzifoon

19No headache will they have therefrom, nor will they be intoxicated -

وَفَٰكِهَةٍۢ مِّمَّا يَتَخَيَّرُونَ ﴿٢٠﴾

Wa faakihatim mimmaa yatakhaiyaroon

20And fruit of what they select

وَلَحْمِ طَيْرٍۢ مِّمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ ﴿٢١﴾

Wa lahmi tairim mimmaa yashtahoon

21And the meat of fowl, from whatever they desire.

وَحُورٌ عِينٌۭ ﴿٢٢﴾

Wa hoorun'een

22And [for them are] fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes,

كَأَمْثَٰلِ ٱللُّؤْلُؤِ ٱلْمَكْنُونِ ﴿٢٣﴾

Ka amsaalil lu'lu'il maknoon

23The likenesses of pearls well-protected,

جَزَآءًۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ ﴿٢٤﴾

Jazaaa'am bimaa kaanoo ya'maloon

24As reward for what they used to do.

لَا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًۭا وَلَا تَأْثِيمًا ﴿٢٥﴾

Laa yasma'oona feehaa laghwanw wa laa taaseemaa

25They will not hear therein ill speech or commission of sin -

إِلَّا قِيلًۭا سَلَٰمًۭا سَلَٰمًۭا ﴿٢٦﴾

Illaa qeelan salaaman salaamaa

26Only a saying: "Peace, peace."

وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْيَمِينِ مَآ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْيَمِينِ ﴿٢٧﴾

Wa as haabul yameeni maaa as haabul Yameen

27The companions of the right - what are the companions of the right?

فِى سِدْرٍۢ مَّخْضُودٍۢ ﴿٢٨﴾

Fee sidrim makhdood

28[They will be] among lote trees with thorns removed

وَطَلْحٍۢ مَّنضُودٍۢ ﴿٢٩﴾

Wa talhim mandood

29And [banana] trees layered [with fruit]

وَظِلٍّۢ مَّمْدُودٍۢ ﴿٣٠﴾

Wa zillim mamdood

30And shade extended

وَمَآءٍۢ مَّسْكُوبٍۢ ﴿٣١﴾

Wa maaa'im maskoob

31And water poured out

وَفَٰكِهَةٍۢ كَثِيرَةٍۢ ﴿٣٢﴾

Wa faakihatin kaseerah

32And fruit, abundant [and varied],

لَّا مَقْطُوعَةٍۢ وَلَا مَمْنُوعَةٍۢ ﴿٣٣﴾

Laa maqtoo'atinw wa laa mamnoo'ah

33Neither limited [to season] nor forbidden,

وَفُرُشٍۢ مَّرْفُوعَةٍ ﴿٣٤﴾

Wa furushim marfoo'ah

34And [upon] beds raised high.

إِنَّآ أَنشَأْنَٰهُنَّ إِنشَآءًۭ ﴿٣٥﴾

Innaaa anshaanaahunna inshaaa'aa

35Indeed, We have produced the women of Paradise in a [new] creation

فَجَعَلْنَٰهُنَّ أَبْكَارًا ﴿٣٦﴾

Faja'alnaahunna abkaaraa

36And made them virgins,

عُرُبًا أَتْرَابًۭا ﴿٣٧﴾

'Uruban atraabaa

37Devoted [to their husbands] and of equal age,

لِّأَصْحَٰبِ ٱلْيَمِينِ ﴿٣٨﴾

Li as haabil yameen

38For the companions of the right [who are]

ثُلَّةٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ﴿٣٩﴾

Sullatum minal awwa leen

39A company of the former peoples

وَثُلَّةٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ ﴿٤٠﴾

Wa sullatum minal aakhireen

40And a company of the later peoples.

وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلشِّمَالِ مَآ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلشِّمَالِ ﴿٤١﴾

Wa as haabush shimaali maaa as haabush shimaal

41And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left?

فِى سَمُومٍۢ وَحَمِيمٍۢ ﴿٤٢﴾

Fee samoominw wa hameem

42[They will be] in scorching fire and scalding water

وَظِلٍّۢ مِّن يَحْمُومٍۢ ﴿٤٣﴾

Wa zillim miny yahmoom

43And a shade of black smoke,

لَّا بَارِدٍۢ وَلَا كَرِيمٍ ﴿٤٤﴾

Laa baaridinw wa laa kareem

44Neither cool nor beneficial.

إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَبْلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُتْرَفِينَ ﴿٤٥﴾

Innaahum kaanoo qabla zaalika mutrafeen

45Indeed they were, before that, indulging in affluence,

وَكَانُوا۟ يُصِرُّونَ عَلَى ٱلْحِنثِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ﴿٤٦﴾

Wa kaanoo yusirroona 'alal hinsil 'azeem

46And they used to persist in the great violation,

وَكَانُوا۟ يَقُولُونَ أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًۭا وَعِظَٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ ﴿٤٧﴾

Wa kaanoo yaqooloona a'izaa mitnaa wa kunnaa turaabanw wa izaaman'ainnaa lamab'oosoon

47And they used to say, "When we die and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected?

أَوَءَابَآؤُنَا ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ ﴿٤٨﴾

Awa aabaaa'unal awwaloon

48And our forefathers [as well]?"

قُلْ إِنَّ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ وَٱلْءَاخِرِينَ ﴿٤٩﴾

Qul innal awwaleena wal aakhireen

49Say, [O Muhammad], "Indeed, the former and the later peoples

لَمَجْمُوعُونَ إِلَىٰ مِيقَٰتِ يَوْمٍۢ مَّعْلُومٍۢ ﴿٥٠﴾

Lamajmoo'oona ilaa meeqaati yawmim ma'loon

50Are to be gathered together for the appointment of a known Day."

ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمْ أَيُّهَا ٱلضَّآلُّونَ ٱلْمُكَذِّبُونَ ﴿٥١﴾

summa innakum ayyuhad daaalloonal mukazziboon

51Then indeed you, O those astray [who are] deniers,

لَءَاكِلُونَ مِن شَجَرٍۢ مِّن زَقُّومٍۢ ﴿٥٢﴾

La aakiloona min shaja rim min zaqqoom

52Will be eating from trees of zaqqum

فَمَالِـُٔونَ مِنْهَا ٱلْبُطُونَ ﴿٥٣﴾

Famaali'oona minhal butoon

53And filling with it your bellies

فَشَٰرِبُونَ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ ٱلْحَمِيمِ ﴿٥٤﴾

Fashaariboona 'alaihi minal hameem

54And drinking on top of it from scalding water

فَشَٰرِبُونَ شُرْبَ ٱلْهِيمِ ﴿٥٥﴾

Fashaariboona shurbal heem

55And will drink as the drinking of thirsty camels.

هَٰذَا نُزُلُهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ ﴿٥٦﴾

Haazaa nuzuluhum yawmad deen

56That is their accommodation on the Day of Recompense.

نَحْنُ خَلَقْنَٰكُمْ فَلَوْلَا تُصَدِّقُونَ ﴿٥٧﴾

Nahnu khalaqnaakum falaw laa tusaddiqoon

57We have created you, so why do you not believe?

أَفَرَءَيْتُم مَّا تُمْنُونَ ﴿٥٨﴾

Afara'aytum maa tumnoon

58Have you seen that which you emit?

ءَأَنتُمْ تَخْلُقُونَهُۥٓ أَمْ نَحْنُ ٱلْخَٰلِقُونَ ﴿٥٩﴾

'A-antum takhluqoo nahooo am nahnul khaaliqoon

59Is it you who creates it, or are We the Creator?

نَحْنُ قَدَّرْنَا بَيْنَكُمُ ٱلْمَوْتَ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَسْبُوقِينَ ﴿٦٠﴾

Nahnu qaddarnaa baina kumul mawta wa maa nahnu bimasbooqeen

60We have decreed death among you, and We are not to be outdone

عَلَىٰٓ أَن نُّبَدِّلَ أَمْثَٰلَكُمْ وَنُنشِئَكُمْ فِى مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ ﴿٦١﴾

'Alaaa an nubaddila amsaalakum wa nunshi'akum fee maa laa ta'lamoon

61In that We will change your likenesses and produce you in that [form] which you do not know.

وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمُ ٱلنَّشْأَةَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ فَلَوْلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ ﴿٦٢﴾

Wa laqad 'alimtumun nash atal oolaa falaw laa tazakkaroon

62And you have already known the first creation, so will you not remember?

أَفَرَءَيْتُم مَّا تَحْرُثُونَ ﴿٦٣﴾

Afara'aytum maa tahrusoon

63And have you seen that [seed] which you sow?

ءَأَنتُمْ تَزْرَعُونَهُۥٓ أَمْ نَحْنُ ٱلزَّٰرِعُونَ ﴿٦٤﴾

'A-antum tazra'oonahooo am nahnuz zaari'ooon

64Is it you who makes it grow, or are We the grower?

لَوْ نَشَآءُ لَجَعَلْنَٰهُ حُطَٰمًۭا فَظَلْتُمْ تَفَكَّهُونَ ﴿٦٥﴾

Law nashaaa'u laja'al naahu hutaaman fazaltum tafakkahoon

65If We willed, We could make it [dry] debris, and you would remain in wonder,

إِنَّا لَمُغْرَمُونَ ﴿٦٦﴾

Innaa lamughramoon

66[Saying], "Indeed, we are [now] in debt;

بَلْ نَحْنُ مَحْرُومُونَ ﴿٦٧﴾

Bal nahnu mahroomoon

67Rather, we have been deprived."

أَفَرَءَيْتُمُ ٱلْمَآءَ ٱلَّذِى تَشْرَبُونَ ﴿٦٨﴾

Afara'aytumul maaa'allazee tashraboon

68And have you seen the water that you drink?

ءَأَنتُمْ أَنزَلْتُمُوهُ مِنَ ٱلْمُزْنِ أَمْ نَحْنُ ٱلْمُنزِلُونَ ﴿٦٩﴾

'A-antum anzaltumoohu minal muzni am nahnul munziloon

69Is it you who brought it down from the clouds, or is it We who bring it down?

لَوْ نَشَآءُ جَعَلْنَٰهُ أُجَاجًۭا فَلَوْلَا تَشْكُرُونَ ﴿٧٠﴾

Law nashaaa'u ja'alnaahu ujaajan falaw laa tashkuroon

70If We willed, We could make it bitter, so why are you not grateful?

أَفَرَءَيْتُمُ ٱلنَّارَ ٱلَّتِى تُورُونَ ﴿٧١﴾

Afara'aytumun naaral latee tooroon

71And have you seen the fire that you ignite?

ءَأَنتُمْ أَنشَأْتُمْ شَجَرَتَهَآ أَمْ نَحْنُ ٱلْمُنشِـُٔونَ ﴿٧٢﴾

'A-antum anshaatum shajaratahaaa am nahnul munshi'oon

72Is it you who produced its tree, or are We the producer?

نَحْنُ جَعَلْنَٰهَا تَذْكِرَةًۭ وَمَتَٰعًۭا لِّلْمُقْوِينَ ﴿٧٣﴾

Nahnu ja'alnaahaa tazkira tanw wa mataa'al lilmuqween

73We have made it a reminder and provision for the travelers,

فَسَبِّحْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ﴿٧٤﴾

Fasabbih bismi Rabbikal 'azeem

74So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great.

۞ فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِمَوَٰقِعِ ٱلنُّجُومِ ﴿٧٥﴾

Falaa uqsimu bimaawaa qi'innujoom

75Then I swear by the setting of the stars,

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَقَسَمٌۭ لَّوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عَظِيمٌ ﴿٧٦﴾

Wa innahoo laqasamul lawta'lamoona'azeem

76And indeed, it is an oath - if you could know - [most] great.

إِنَّهُۥ لَقُرْءَانٌۭ كَرِيمٌۭ ﴿٧٧﴾

Innahoo la quraanun kareem

77Indeed, it is a noble Qur'an

فِى كِتَٰبٍۢ مَّكْنُونٍۢ ﴿٧٨﴾

Fee kitaabim maknoon

78In a Register well-protected;

لَّا يَمَسُّهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱلْمُطَهَّرُونَ ﴿٧٩﴾

Laa yamassuhooo illal mutahharoon

79None touch it except the purified.

تَنزِيلٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ﴿٨٠﴾

Tanzeelum mir Rabbil'aalameen

80[It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds.

أَفَبِهَٰذَا ٱلْحَدِيثِ أَنتُم مُّدْهِنُونَ ﴿٨١﴾

Afabihaazal hadeesi antum mudhinoon

81Then is it to this statement that you are indifferent

وَتَجْعَلُونَ رِزْقَكُمْ أَنَّكُمْ تُكَذِّبُونَ ﴿٨٢﴾

Wa taj'aloona rizqakum annakum tukazziboon

82And make [the thanks for] your provision that you deny [the Provider]?

فَلَوْلَآ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ ٱلْحُلْقُومَ ﴿٨٣﴾

Falaw laaa izaa balaghatil hulqoom

83Then why, when the soul at death reaches the throat

وَأَنتُمْ حِينَئِذٍۢ تَنظُرُونَ ﴿٨٤﴾

Wa antum heena'izin tanzuroon

84And you are at that time looking on -

وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنكُمْ وَلَٰكِن لَّا تُبْصِرُونَ ﴿٨٥﴾

Wa nahnu aqrabu ilaihi minkum wa laakil laa tubsiroon

85And Our angels are nearer to him than you, but you do not see -

فَلَوْلَآ إِن كُنتُمْ غَيْرَ مَدِينِينَ ﴿٨٦﴾

Falaw laaa in kuntum ghira madeeneen

86Then why do you not, if you are not to be recompensed,

تَرْجِعُونَهَآ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ ﴿٨٧﴾

Tarji'oonahaaa in kuntum saadiqeen

87Bring it back, if you should be truthful?

فَأَمَّآ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ ﴿٨٨﴾

Fa ammaaa in kaana minal muqarrabeen

88And if the deceased was of those brought near to Allah,

فَرَوْحٌۭ وَرَيْحَانٌۭ وَجَنَّتُ نَعِيمٍۢ ﴿٨٩﴾

Farawhunw wa raihaa nunw wa jannatu na'eem

89Then [for him is] rest and bounty and a garden of pleasure.

وَأَمَّآ إِن كَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَٰبِ ٱلْيَمِينِ ﴿٩٠﴾

Wa ammaaa in kaana min as haabil yameen

90And if he was of the companions of the right,

فَسَلَٰمٌۭ لَّكَ مِنْ أَصْحَٰبِ ٱلْيَمِينِ ﴿٩١﴾

Fasalaamul laka min as haabil yameen

91Then [the angels will say], "Peace for you; [you are] from the companions of the right."

وَأَمَّآ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ ﴿٩٢﴾

Wa ammaaa in kaana minal mukazzibeenad daaalleen

92But if he was of the deniers [who were] astray,

فَنُزُلٌۭ مِّنْ حَمِيمٍۢ ﴿٩٣﴾

Fanuzulum min hameem

93Then [for him is] accommodation of scalding water

وَتَصْلِيَةُ جَحِيمٍ ﴿٩٤﴾

Wa tasliyatu jaheem

94And burning in Hellfire

إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ حَقُّ ٱلْيَقِينِ ﴿٩٥﴾

Inna haaza lahuwa haqqul yaqeen

95Indeed, this is the true certainty,

فَسَبِّحْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ﴿٩٦﴾

Fasabbih bismi rabbikal 'azeem

96So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great.

سَبَّحَ لِلَّهِ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ﴿١﴾

Sabbaha lillaahi maa fissamaawaati wal ardi wa Huwal 'Azeezul Hakeem

1Whatever is in the heavens and earth exalts Allah, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

لَهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ يُحْىِۦ وَيُمِيتُ ۖ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌ ﴿٢﴾

Lahoo mulkus samaawaati wal ardi yuhyee wa yumeetu wa Huwa 'alaa kulli shai'in Qadeer

2His is the dominion of the heavens and earth. He gives life and causes death, and He is over all things competent.

هُوَ ٱلْأَوَّلُ وَٱلْءَاخِرُ وَٱلظَّٰهِرُ وَٱلْبَاطِنُ ۖ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌ ﴿٣﴾

Huwal Awwalu wal'Aakhiru waz Zaahiru wal Baatinu wa huwa bikulli shai'in Aleem

3He is the First and the Last, the Ascendant and the Intimate, and He is, of all things, Knowing.

هُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ فِى سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍۢ ثُمَّ ٱسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى ٱلْعَرْشِ ۚ يَعْلَمُ مَا يَلِجُ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا يَخْرُجُ مِنْهَا وَمَا يَنزِلُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَمَا يَعْرُجُ فِيهَا ۖ وَهُوَ مَعَكُمْ أَيْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌۭ ﴿٤﴾

Huwal lazee khalaqas samaawaati wal arda fee sittati ayyaamin summas tawaa 'alal 'Arsh; ya'lamu maa yaliju filardi wa maa yakhruju minhaa wa maa yanzilu minas samaaa'i wa maa ya'ruju feeha wa Huwa ma'akum ayna maa kuntum; wallaahu bimaa ta'maloona Baseer

4It is He who created the heavens and earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne. He knows what penetrates into the earth and what emerges from it and what descends from the heaven and what ascends therein; and He is with you wherever you are. And Allah, of what you do, is Seeing.

لَّهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ ٱلْأُمُورُ ﴿٥﴾

Lahoo mulkus samaawaati wal ard; wa ilal laahi turja'ul umoor

5His is the dominion of the heavens and earth. And to Allah are returned [all] matters.

يُولِجُ ٱلَّيْلَ فِى ٱلنَّهَارِ وَيُولِجُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فِى ٱلَّيْلِ ۚ وَهُوَ عَلِيمٌۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ ﴿٦﴾

Yoolijul laila fin nahaari wa yoolijun nahaara fil lail; wa Huwa 'Aleemum bizaatis sudoor

6He causes the night to enter the day and causes the day to enter the night, and he is Knowing of that within the breasts.

ءَامِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَأَنفِقُوا۟ مِمَّا جَعَلَكُم مُّسْتَخْلَفِينَ فِيهِ ۖ فَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مِنكُمْ وَأَنفَقُوا۟ لَهُمْ أَجْرٌۭ كَبِيرٌۭ ﴿٧﴾

Aaaminoo billaahi wa Rasoolihee wa anfiqoo mimmaa ja'alakum mustakh lafeena feehi fallazeena aamanoo minkum wa anfaqoo lahum ajrun kabeer

7Believe in Allah and His Messenger and spend out of that in which He has made you successors. For those who have believed among you and spent, there will be a great reward.

وَمَا لَكُمْ لَا تُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ ۙ وَٱلرَّسُولُ يَدْعُوكُمْ لِتُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِرَبِّكُمْ وَقَدْ أَخَذَ مِيثَٰقَكُمْ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ ﴿٨﴾

Wa maa lakum laa tu'minoona billaahi war Rasoolu yad'ookum lituu'minoo bi Rabbikum wa qad akhaza meesaaqakum in kuntum mu'mineen

8And why do you not believe in Allah while the Messenger invites you to believe in your Lord and He has taken your covenant, if you should [truly] be believers?

هُوَ ٱلَّذِى يُنَزِّلُ عَلَىٰ عَبْدِهِۦٓ ءَايَٰتٍۭ بَيِّنَٰتٍۢ لِّيُخْرِجَكُم مِّنَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِ ۚ وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِكُمْ لَرَءُوفٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ ﴿٩﴾

Huwal lazee yunazzilu 'alaa 'abdiheee Aayaatim baiyinaatil liyukhrijakum minaz zulumaati ilan noor; wa innal laaha bikum la Ra'oofur Raheem

9It is He who sends down upon His Servant [Muhammad] verses of clear evidence that He may bring you out from darknesses into the light. And indeed, Allah is to you Kind and Merciful.

وَمَا لَكُمْ أَلَّا تُنفِقُوا۟ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَلِلَّهِ مِيرَٰثُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ لَا يَسْتَوِى مِنكُم مَّنْ أَنفَقَ مِن قَبْلِ ٱلْفَتْحِ وَقَٰتَلَ ۚ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَعْظَمُ دَرَجَةًۭ مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنفَقُوا۟ مِنۢ بَعْدُ وَقَٰتَلُوا۟ ۚ وَكُلًّۭا وَعَدَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرٌۭ ﴿١٠﴾

Wa maa lakum allaa tunfiqoo fee sabeelil laahi wa lillaahi meeraasus samaawaati wal-ard; laa yastawee minkum man anfaqa min qablil fat-hi wa qaatal; ulaaaika a'zamu darajatam minal lazeena anfaqoo mim ba'du wa qaataloo; wa kullanw wa'adallaahul husnaa; wallaahu bimaa ta'maloona Khabeer

10And why do you not spend in the cause of Allah while to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth? Not equal among you are those who spent before the conquest [of Makkah] and fought [and those who did so after it]. Those are greater in degree than they who spent afterwards and fought. But to all Allah has promised the best [reward]. And Allah, with what you do, is Acquainted.

مَّن ذَا ٱلَّذِى يُقْرِضُ ٱللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًۭا فَيُضَٰعِفَهُۥ لَهُۥ وَلَهُۥٓ أَجْرٌۭ كَرِيمٌۭ ﴿١١﴾

man zal lazee yuqridul laaha qardan hasanan fa yudaa'ifahoo lahoo wa lahooo ajrun kareem

11Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He will multiply it for him and he will have a noble reward?

يَوْمَ تَرَى ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ يَسْعَىٰ نُورُهُم بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَبِأَيْمَٰنِهِم بُشْرَىٰكُمُ ٱلْيَوْمَ جَنَّٰتٌۭ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ ﴿١٢﴾

Yawma taral mu'mineena walmu'minaati yas'aa nooruhum baina aydeehim wa biaymaanihim bushraakumul yawma jannaatun tajree min tahtihal anhaaru khaalideena feeha; zaalika huwal fawzul 'azeem

12On the Day you see the believing men and believing women, their light proceeding before them and on their right, [it will be said], "Your good tidings today are [of] gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein you will abide eternally." That is what is the great attainment.

يَوْمَ يَقُولُ ٱلْمُنَٰفِقُونَ وَٱلْمُنَٰفِقَٰتُ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱنظُرُونَا نَقْتَبِسْ مِن نُّورِكُمْ قِيلَ ٱرْجِعُوا۟ وَرَآءَكُمْ فَٱلْتَمِسُوا۟ نُورًۭا فَضُرِبَ بَيْنَهُم بِسُورٍۢ لَّهُۥ بَابٌۢ بَاطِنُهُۥ فِيهِ ٱلرَّحْمَةُ وَظَٰهِرُهُۥ مِن قِبَلِهِ ٱلْعَذَابُ ﴿١٣﴾

Yawma yaqoolul munaa fiqoona walmunaafiqaatu lillazeena aamanun zuroonaa naqtabis min noorikum qeelarji'oo waraaa'akum faltamisoo nooran faduriba bainahum bisooril lahoo baab, baatinuhoo feehir rahmatu wa zaahiruhoo min qibalihi-'azaab

13On the [same] Day the hypocrite men and hypocrite women will say to those who believed, "Wait for us that we may acquire some of your light." It will be said, "Go back behind you and seek light." And a wall will be placed between them with a door, its interior containing mercy, but on the outside of it is torment.

يُنَادُونَهُمْ أَلَمْ نَكُن مَّعَكُمْ ۖ قَالُوا۟ بَلَىٰ وَلَٰكِنَّكُمْ فَتَنتُمْ أَنفُسَكُمْ وَتَرَبَّصْتُمْ وَٱرْتَبْتُمْ وَغَرَّتْكُمُ ٱلْأَمَانِىُّ حَتَّىٰ جَآءَ أَمْرُ ٱللَّهِ وَغَرَّكُم بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْغَرُورُ ﴿١٤﴾

Yunaadoonahum alam nakum ma'akum qaaloo balaa wa laakinnakum fatantum anfusakum wa tarabbastum wartabtum wa gharratkumul amaaniyyu hatta jaaa'a amrul laahi wa gharrakum billaahil gharoor

14The hypocrites will call to the believers, "Were we not with you?" They will say, "Yes, but you afflicted yourselves and awaited [misfortune for us] and doubted, and wishful thinking deluded you until there came the command of Allah. And the Deceiver deceived you concerning Allah.

فَٱلْيَوْمَ لَا يُؤْخَذُ مِنكُمْ فِدْيَةٌۭ وَلَا مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ۚ مَأْوَىٰكُمُ ٱلنَّارُ ۖ هِىَ مَوْلَىٰكُمْ ۖ وَبِئْسَ ٱلْمَصِيرُ ﴿١٥﴾

Fal Yawma laa yu'khazu minkum fidyatunw wa laa minal lazeena kafaroo; maawaakumun Naaru hiya maw laakum wa bi'sal maseer

15So today no ransom will be taken from you or from those who disbelieved. Your refuge is the Fire. It is most worthy of you, and wretched is the destination.

۞ أَلَمْ يَأْنِ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَن تَخْشَعَ قُلُوبُهُمْ لِذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا نَزَلَ مِنَ ٱلْحَقِّ وَلَا يَكُونُوا۟ كَٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ مِن قَبْلُ فَطَالَ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْأَمَدُ فَقَسَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ ۖ وَكَثِيرٌۭ مِّنْهُمْ فَٰسِقُونَ ﴿١٦﴾

Alam yaani laillzeena aamanooo an takhsha'a quloo buhum lizikril laahi wa maa nazala minal haqqi wa laa yakoonoo kallazeena ootul Kitaaba min qablu fataala 'alaihimul amadu faqasat quloobuhum wa kaseerum minhum faasiqoon

16Has the time not come for those who have believed that their hearts should become humbly submissive at the remembrance of Allah and what has come down of the truth? And let them not be like those who were given the Scripture before, and a long period passed over them, so their hearts hardened; and many of them are defiantly disobedient.

ٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحْىِ ٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا ۚ قَدْ بَيَّنَّا لَكُمُ ٱلْءَايَٰتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ ﴿١٧﴾

I'lamooo annal laaha yuhyil arda ba'da mawtihaa; qad baiyannaa lakumul Aayaati la'allakum ta'qiloon

17Know that Allah gives life to the earth after its lifelessness. We have made clear to you the signs; perhaps you will understand.

إِنَّ ٱلْمُصَّدِّقِينَ وَٱلْمُصَّدِّقَٰتِ وَأَقْرَضُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًۭا يُضَٰعَفُ لَهُمْ وَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌۭ كَرِيمٌۭ ﴿١٨﴾

Innal mussaddiqeena wal mussaddiqaati wa aqradul laaha qardan hassanany yudaa'afu lahum wa lahum ajrun kareem

18Indeed, the men who practice charity and the women who practice charity and [they who] have loaned Allah a goodly loan - it will be multiplied for them, and they will have a noble reward.

وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِۦٓ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلصِّدِّيقُونَ ۖ وَٱلشُّهَدَآءُ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ لَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ وَنُورُهُمْ ۖ وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْجَحِيمِ ﴿١٩﴾

Wallazeena aamanoo billaahi wa Rusuliheee ulaaa'ika humus siddeeqoona wash shuhadaaa'u 'inda Rabbihim lahum ajruhum wa nooruhum wallazeena kafaroo wa kazzaboo bi aayaatinaaa ulaaaika As haabul jaheem

19And those who have believed in Allah and His messengers - those are [in the ranks of] the supporters of truth and the martyrs, with their Lord. For them is their reward and their light. But those who have disbelieved and denied Our verses - those are the companions of Hellfire.

ٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّمَا ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَا لَعِبٌۭ وَلَهْوٌۭ وَزِينَةٌۭ وَتَفَاخُرٌۢ بَيْنَكُمْ وَتَكَاثُرٌۭ فِى ٱلْأَمْوَٰلِ وَٱلْأَوْلَٰدِ ۖ كَمَثَلِ غَيْثٍ أَعْجَبَ ٱلْكُفَّارَ نَبَاتُهُۥ ثُمَّ يَهِيجُ فَتَرَىٰهُ مُصْفَرًّۭا ثُمَّ يَكُونُ حُطَٰمًۭا ۖ وَفِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ عَذَابٌۭ شَدِيدٌۭ وَمَغْفِرَةٌۭ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرِضْوَٰنٌۭ ۚ وَمَا ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَآ إِلَّا مَتَٰعُ ٱلْغُرُورِ ﴿٢٠﴾

I'lamooo annamal hayaa tud dunyaa la'ibunw wa lahwunw wa zeenatunw wa takaasurun bainakum wa takaasurn fil amwaali wal awlaad, kamasali ghaisin a'jabal kuffaara nabaatuhoo summa yaheeju fataraahu musfaaran summa yakoonu hutaamaa; wa fil aakhirati 'azaabun shadeedunw wa magh firatum minal laahi wa ridwaan; wa mal haiyaa tuddun yaaa illaa mataa'ul ghuroor

20Know that the life of this world is but amusement and diversion and adornment and boasting to one another and competition in increase of wealth and children - like the example of a rain whose [resulting] plant growth pleases the tillers; then it dries and you see it turned yellow; then it becomes [scattered] debris. And in the Hereafter is severe punishment and forgiveness from Allah and approval. And what is the worldly life except the enjoyment of delusion.

سَابِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَغْفِرَةٍۢ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَجَنَّةٍ عَرْضُهَا كَعَرْضِ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ أُعِدَّتْ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِۦ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ فَضْلُ ٱللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ ذُو ٱلْفَضْلِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ﴿٢١﴾

Saabiqooo ilaa maghfiratim mir Rabbikum wa jannatin 'arduhaa ka-'ardis samaaa'i wal ardi u'iddat lillazeena aamanoo billaahi wa Rusulih; zaalika fadlul laahi yu'teehi many yashaaa'; wal laahu zul fadlil 'azeem

21Race toward forgiveness from your Lord and a Garden whose width is like the width of the heavens and earth, prepared for those who believed in Allah and His messengers. That is the bounty of Allah which He gives to whom He wills, and Allah is the possessor of great bounty.

مَآ أَصَابَ مِن مُّصِيبَةٍۢ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِىٓ أَنفُسِكُمْ إِلَّا فِى كِتَٰبٍۢ مِّن قَبْلِ أَن نَّبْرَأَهَآ ۚ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ يَسِيرٌۭ ﴿٢٢﴾

Maaa asaaba mim musee batin fil ardi wa laa feee anfusikum illaa fee kitaabim min qabli an nabra ahaa; innaa zaalika 'alal laahi yaseer

22No disaster strikes upon the earth or among yourselves except that it is in a register before We bring it into being - indeed that, for Allah, is easy -

لِّكَيْلَا تَأْسَوْا۟ عَلَىٰ مَا فَاتَكُمْ وَلَا تَفْرَحُوا۟ بِمَآ ءَاتَىٰكُمْ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ مُخْتَالٍۢ فَخُورٍ ﴿٢٣﴾

Likailaa taasaw 'alaa maa faatakum wa laa tafrahoo bimaaa aataakum; wallaahu laa yuhibbu kulla mukhtaalin fakhoor

23In order that you not despair over what has eluded you and not exult [in pride] over what He has given you. And Allah does not like everyone self-deluded and boastful -

ٱلَّذِينَ يَبْخَلُونَ وَيَأْمُرُونَ ٱلنَّاسَ بِٱلْبُخْلِ ۗ وَمَن يَتَوَلَّ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْغَنِىُّ ٱلْحَمِيدُ ﴿٢٤﴾

Allazeeena yabkhaloona wa yaamuroonan naasa bil bukhl; wa many yatawalla fa innal laaha Huwal Ghaniyyul Hameed

24[Those] who are stingy and enjoin upon people stinginess. And whoever turns away - then indeed, Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy.

لَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلَنَا بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ وَأَنزَلْنَا مَعَهُمُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَٱلْمِيزَانَ لِيَقُومَ ٱلنَّاسُ بِٱلْقِسْطِ ۖ وَأَنزَلْنَا ٱلْحَدِيدَ فِيهِ بَأْسٌۭ شَدِيدٌۭ وَمَنَٰفِعُ لِلنَّاسِ وَلِيَعْلَمَ ٱللَّهُ مَن يَنصُرُهُۥ وَرُسُلَهُۥ بِٱلْغَيْبِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ قَوِىٌّ عَزِيزٌۭ ﴿٢٥﴾

Laqad arsalnaa Rusulanaa bilbaiyinaati wa anzalnaa ma'ahumul Kitaaba wal Meezaana liyaqooman naasu bilqist, wa anzalnal hadeeda feehi baasun shadeedunw wa manaafi'u linnaasi wa liya'lamal laahu many yansuruhoo wa Rusulahoo bilghaib; innal laaha Qawiyyn 'Azeez

25We have already sent Our messengers with clear evidences and sent down with them the Scripture and the balance that the people may maintain [their affairs] in justice. And We sent down iron, wherein is great military might and benefits for the people, and so that Allah may make evident those who support Him and His messengers unseen. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might.

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًۭا وَإِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَجَعَلْنَا فِى ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا ٱلنُّبُوَّةَ وَٱلْكِتَٰبَ ۖ فَمِنْهُم مُّهْتَدٍۢ ۖ وَكَثِيرٌۭ مِّنْهُمْ فَٰسِقُونَ ﴿٢٦﴾

Wa laqad arsalnaa Noohanw wa Ibraaheema wa ja'alnaa fee zurriyyatihiman nubuwwata wal Kitaaba faminhum muhtad; wa kaseerum minhum faasiqoon

26And We have already sent Noah and Abraham and placed in their descendants prophethood and scripture; and among them is he who is guided, but many of them are defiantly disobedient.

ثُمَّ قَفَّيْنَا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَٰرِهِم بِرُسُلِنَا وَقَفَّيْنَا بِعِيسَى ٱبْنِ مَرْيَمَ وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُ ٱلْإِنجِيلَ وَجَعَلْنَا فِى قُلُوبِ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُوهُ رَأْفَةًۭ وَرَحْمَةًۭ وَرَهْبَانِيَّةً ٱبْتَدَعُوهَا مَا كَتَبْنَٰهَا عَلَيْهِمْ إِلَّا ٱبْتِغَآءَ رِضْوَٰنِ ٱللَّهِ فَمَا رَعَوْهَا حَقَّ رِعَايَتِهَا ۖ فَـَٔاتَيْنَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ أَجْرَهُمْ ۖ وَكَثِيرٌۭ مِّنْهُمْ فَٰسِقُونَ ﴿٢٧﴾

Summa qaffainaa 'alaa aasaarihim bi Rusulinaa wa qaffainaa be 'Eesab ni Maryama wa aatainaahul Injeela wa ja'alnaa fee quloobil lazeenat taba' oohu raafatanw wa rahmatanw wa rahbaaniyyatanib tada' oohaa maa katanaahaa 'alaihim illab tighaaa'a ridwaanil laahi famaa ra'awhaa haqqa ri'aayatihaa fa aatainal lazeena aamanoo minhum ajrahum wa kaseerum minhum faasiqoon

27Then We sent following their footsteps Our messengers and followed [them] with Jesus, the son of Mary, and gave him the Gospel. And We placed in the hearts of those who followed him compassion and mercy and monasticism, which they innovated; We did not prescribe it for them except [that they did so] seeking the approval of Allah. But they did not observe it with due observance. So We gave the ones who believed among them their reward, but many of them are defiantly disobedient.

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَءَامِنُوا۟ بِرَسُولِهِۦ يُؤْتِكُمْ كِفْلَيْنِ مِن رَّحْمَتِهِۦ وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ نُورًۭا تَمْشُونَ بِهِۦ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ ﴿٢٨﴾

Yaaa ayyuhal lazeena aamaanut taqullaaha wa aaminoo bi Rasoolihee yu'tikum kiflaini mir rahmatihee wa yaj'al lakum nooran tamshoona bihee wa yaghfir lakum; wallaahu Ghafoorur Raheem

28O you who have believed, fear Allah and believe in His Messenger; He will [then] give you a double portion of His mercy and make for you a light by which you will walk and forgive you; and Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

لِّئَلَّا يَعْلَمَ أَهْلُ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ أَلَّا يَقْدِرُونَ عَلَىٰ شَىْءٍۢ مِّن فَضْلِ ٱللَّهِ ۙ وَأَنَّ ٱلْفَضْلَ بِيَدِ ٱللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ ذُو ٱلْفَضْلِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ﴿٢٩﴾

Li'alla ya'lama Ahlul kitaabi allaa yaqdiroona 'alaa shai'im min fadlil laahi wa annal fadla bi Yadil laahi u'teehi many yashaaa'; wallaahu Zul fadilil 'azeem

29[This is] so that the People of the Scripture may know that they are not able [to obtain] anything from the bounty of Allah and that [all] bounty is in the hand of Allah; He gives it to whom He wills. And Allah is the possessor of great bounty.
