Hajj & Umrah Step by Step

• Umrah, step by step

From ihram (إحرام) and the intention, to Tawaf around the Kaaba, Sa‘i between Safa and Marwah, and shaving/trimming, each step in order.

• The days of Hajj

Follow the rites of Hajj from the 8th to the 13th of Dhul-Hijjah (ذو الحجة): Mina, the standing at Arafah (عرفة), Muzdalifah, the stoning of the Jamarat, and the farewell Tawaf.

• The Day of Arafah

Understand why standing at Arafah is the supreme pillar of Hajj, and what to do that day.

• Fifth pillar of Islam

Hajj is obligatory once in a lifetime for every able Muslim; Umrah is a sunnah that can be performed any time of year.
